Re: Hello Kitty
When I worked at DLR in the 80's my friend Johnny, whenever he saw a Hello Kitty shirt, would yell, "Hello Kitty, ya big fathead!" He was also fond of saying "Gee, Poshboy, you really are special!"
But I guess you had to be there.

"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

Re: Hello Kitty
That was cute, but it always bugged me that you never see Hello Kitty with a mouth. Her sister in that intro had a mouth, but I find it just an eensy bit disturbing that a character would have basically the same pose and no facial expressions.
Re: Hello Kitty
maybe she has more hair on her face around her mouth.felinefan wrote:That was cute, but it always bugged me that you never see Hello Kitty with a mouth. l think she lost some of her charm with it now.

Re: Hello Kitty
I think the 3-D effect gives more to work with--the characters aren't stiff-looking like they were before. As to the wedding, I thought Hello Kitty was getting married, not a real couple. :D: Would've been nice if the soundtrack was in English--the only thing I understood was "Kitty".

Re: Hello Kitty
My 5 year old Niece (Birthday today actually) has a good many HK animated DVD's - SO I know that Kitty Kitty-Kitty song pretty well. In fact, nearly ALL her birthday presents she will be getting from us are HK related. HK light up doll house, HK Toy hamper, HK play Kitchen ... you get the idea.
Her bedroom is done with HK too.

Re: Hello Kitty
The reason Hello Kitty has no mouth is that she is supposed to embody every emotion - the Japanese creators felt that a little girl would not want to snuggle a stuffed toy that was smiling when she felt sad or angry, so she has no mouth so Kitty has whatever emotion you want her to have!felinefan wrote:That was cute, but it always bugged me that you never see Hello Kitty with a mouth. And yes I am a Hello Kitty fanatic...
