I got a copy of this recently. I must say Lee Cockerell does an amazing job here. His presentation of leadership strategies and self-improvement techniques is quite informative. Highly recommended for all Cast Members, or anyone else!

Things to remember that Mr. Cockerell teaches us:

The Four Guest Expectations are:

1. Make Me Feel Special
2. Treat Me as an Individual
3. Respect My Children
4. Have Knowledgeable Cast Members

I think it's pretty common knowledge that a majority of Managers/Division heads fail miserably when it comes to CM expectations. I can only think of a handful of leaders Resort-wide who get more than one of the above at any time...

Where would one get a copy of said educational material? I have read "Be Our Guest" and have another book on Disney's service (havent read it yet, busy with textbooks right now) tried to talk my boss into sending me to the Disney institute a few years back but that didnt go ever well and since my hours are getting cut due to slow times I dont think they are going to spring for anything like that now. I would love to get some of the training materials Disney uses, books, CD's anything. I have AAA's stuff some of which I know was picked up from Disney but thier management is still about as bad as it gets, fortunatly we are no longer afiliated with them. I think AAA's sending people to the institute was more of a way of higher management getting free vacations because no one who deals directly with he public even went.
