Canoe Races at DL

Post by socaldork » Fri Jun 20, 2008 1:41 pm

I'm looking for a team to join... very new to the resort myself (Adv/Front) so not sure how to join a team. Happy to help pay part of the registration fee. Canoing and kayaking is something I do for fun so this an activity at the resort I've been looking forward to participating in.

Well, check around your attractions. We've had signup sheets at Nemo for a couple weeks now. One of your leads might have some good info for ya.

I'd love to do it myself, but it's an hour drive into the resort for me already. I am not getting up that early for the races!

Hopefully this time next year I'll be living closer to the resort, and I can join in then.

EDIT: You're a skip? I've heard good things about your "A" lead....definitely talk to him about this. He's been around for a while, and I've heard he's got good info. At least, that's what I've been told by three former skippers. :)

Hey, any update?

You get on a team?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Well, at least this one does!

I bet they keep stopping at stuff along the way and make jokes the whole time...

It'll be spurts of paddling like hell and then drifting.

Glad to hear!

And I'd throw out a witty comment....but I know it'd just get lost on a Skip. ;)

Luck to ya!

I heard rumours of certain CMs partying in the burning cabin, the teepees and other places, lol, or worst swimming to shore.
