Interesting Fine Print I Found
Interesting Fine Print I Found
one thing caught my eye today when I renewed my AP.
Entry into the Disneyland® Resort constitutes consent for Disney to use any film, video or reproduction of image and/or voice of an Annual Passholder for any purpose whatsoever without any payment to the Annual Passholder.
so, basicly, if you are a entertaining person, Disney can use anything you do on thier property as they see fit?
also, I heard Push now likes to sneak up on people and bump into them.
so now you really have to be ready for when Push comes to shove... :D:

Why have I never seen Push!??!
And I think that's more for when they film promotional things, stuff for Disney Channel/ABC, even things like Soarin'.
Legend: Alligators dwell in the sewers beneath Disneyland.
Truth: There are no sewers below Disneyland, and therefore no alligators in them. The secret tunnels are infested with mutant rats, however.

Same fine print on all tickets here at Disney World. I don't think they use it often, but they can.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
Re: Interesting Fine Print I Found
I first noticed this on the back of my ticket sometime around 1993. So yeah, it's been there a while. I agree with BW - they don't use it often but they can. They're not going take a close-up shot of your face and put it on the back of the guide map or in TV spots (those people are paid for that, I'm sure), but they could take a video with you walking in the background and use that for Cast TV or training videos, for example. I think this clause also releases them from liability with on-ride photos like at Splash Mountain, and it allows them to display "sample" photos at those shope to encourage people to buy them.drcorey wrote:Entry into the Disneyland® Resort constitutes consent for Disney to use any film, video or reproduction of image and/or voice of an Annual Passholder for any purpose whatsoever without any payment to the Annual Passholder.

and see if I end up anywhere, wonder how many benedictine monks go to Disneyland. hmm, now, if I can get a dance with a princess, that may do it.
or just getting down to ava maria on main street...

Re: Interesting Fine Print I Found
It's even broader than that... Disney is just protecting themselves from SG's who might recognize themselves in any picture or vid taken in the parks, even way in the background, and sue because their image was used without permission. Without this disclaimer, Disney would have to track down every person in a photo they wanted to use for any reason and get their permission, or blur everyone beyond recognition.SRT_GB wrote:I first noticed this on the back of my ticket sometime around 1993. There's what I was trying and failed to say earlier.BRWombat wrote:Without this disclaimer, Disney would have to track down every person in a photo they wanted to use for any reason and get their permission, or blur everyone beyond recognition.
Plus, it's always so neat backstage to see pictures of Cast Members interacting with guests... I can't imagine not seeing that.
I am experiencing a typing dyselxia. Therefore, I am leaving now.

Hehe, I'm sure my picture has already been used to train CM's-
This, Trainee CM's, is a Pin Addict. She will follow you around until you show her your Pin Lanyard. Especially fond of Stitch Pins. Irritating but otherwise Harmless.....

Re: Interesting Fine Print I Found
It would be great if they could catch SGs being SGs, and use that as evidence when a CM gets assaulted/threatened, or a character gets punched, etc.. Then they can say "You broke the rules, we have proof, no, you're not getting the tape, get out and stay out, or we'll sue your ass off."
