Okay, I just had to share this, but I wasn't quite sure where it fit. It was kind-of a stupid CM trick, but it didn't actually happen, so... Okay, let me set this up:
Local (Dallas) radio station KLUV had comedian/hypnotist Flip Orley on this morning as I drove into work (mentioned here, last item on the page). He hypnotized one of the show's cast, and had some fun with her on the air giving her different suggestions to act out. The best one was the last -- he set it up with her something like this:
"Rebekah, everyone knows about Disneyland and Disney World, and how they are the happiest places on Earth. All the workers there are always so friendly all day long. But, you know, it's not easy staying that friendly. There are rude guests and problems to deal with, and sometimes you just don't feel that friendly. You wonder what they'd say away from the public. (At this point I wondered if the guy ever came to SGT!)
You used to work at one of those parks, Disneyland or Disney World, but there was a bad incident with a guest, and you don't work there any more. And you're mad about it! Something happened that you think was really misunderstood, but lots of people got upset, and security was called, and you ended up in court because of it. But no one has ever listened to your side of the story -- until now. You're on the radio, and these people are letting you finally tell your side of the story.
He brought her "back" and let her start talking as the other radio crew interviewed her about her story, and it was hilarious. She started by weaving this tale about how brutal it was to work for Disney, all imagined, of course -- "you work 16 hours a day, and they only give you 15 minutes for a restroom break. And you have to walk, like, 32 miles to get to the employee bathroom." She then claimed she was Snow White, and she was trying to get to the restroom, but kids kept coming up to her wanting a picture. She said that when she tried to explain that she was on break, one kid -- she later said he was 4 years old -- kept whining and begging, and she was about to lose it. Then, she said, this 4-year-old kicked her in the shin, so she hauled off and kicked him back -- "in both kneecaps."
What made it so funny is how sincere she was as she described kneecapping this 4-year-old, and claiming it was self-defense, and how she was really the victim! She also threw in that "that's how you have to discipline them. They kick you, you kick back. They bite you, you bite back!" (Yeah, she would have made a great Snow White! :rolleyes :) She described in detail getting arrested -- still in costume -- and being thrown into a holding cell as Snow White.
Yes, very un-Disney-like, and obviously not from someone who's actually worked there, but really, really funny. I'm hoping they'll put the audio up on the station website. If so, I'll link to it.
