I went and did it and its going to cost me.
I signed up for the drawing for TSMM AP preview and for the first time in my life as an AP holder I got picked. I put in for 3 slots and my GF cant get the time off so me and her son are going to head down for the weekend and do the preview. Preview time is Thursday June 12th, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and they say I need to check in with guest relations near DTD half an hour before my time so I figure thats 09:30 am Thursday. Since the GF cant make it I have and extra slot to make it 3. I would be happy to have any AP holder from SGT take that 3rd slot instead of it going to waste. You would need to have a valid AP that is not blacked out on June 12th, i would prefer someone who hasnt had a chance to ride yet or who didnt get picked for the AP preview so as many of us as possible get a chance to experience the attraction before it opens and it becomes a complete madhouse. So if any AP holder would like to meet for the preview June 12th at about 09:00 am PM me, Ill check back later today and we can make arrangements to meet. Just make sure you can be there for the time specified, I really dont want a slot going to waste. First person that PM's and says for sure they can make it gets the slot, Ill Pm my cell number so we can make contact that morning, DL doesnt open until 09:00 so Ill go right for guest services when I get there since I expect a line so we can meet around 09:00 by lebrea bakery then go register. If there are any other AP holders here that happened to get picked for preview let me know and we can meet up and go as a group.
After the preview me and Da kid are going to be there for the rest of the weekend, leaving sunday so I get a whole weekend at DL. If any CM's want let me know where and when your working and ill try to drop by and say hi.

Aaaaaargh! We are going THIS Thursday, not next, would have loved to meet you and say Hi. Have a GREAT TIME! :)
Both of the next Thursdays are Grad Nites, I think. Should we be afraid?

I'm going this Thursday too! At the same exact appointment time! 10-3 is a pretty big window... I remember my Nemo appointment time was something like 8:45pm.
I hear it's a blast, maybe you'll want to keep the extra ticket to go on again.

I'm thinking they will issue something like a fastpass that will have a more specific time window to actually ride, but thats just a guess, anyone know for sure how they are doing it? It would be a drag if everyone got 10:00 to 3:00 and had to just wait in line but I really dont see Disney doing that.
There will be two of us there so going twice wouldnt be a good thing, while I like to mess with the kid I wouldnt be so cruel to tell him go sit on a bench while I ride a second time. plus we will do other stuff while we are there, he hasnt seen the Pixar Play Parade and we both love the Aladdin show so we will spend the day at DCA on Thursday and call it an early night then Dl the next day until they chase us out.

Hopefully. For Nemo, I got my ticket that said the appointment time before I came to the park. I'm going for CM previews, so it might work differently. Fingers crossed that the line isn't 4 hours long!svickersart wrote:I'm thinking they will issue something like a fastpass that will have a more specific time window to actually ride, but thats just a guess, anyone know for sure how they are doing it? Is the Pixar Play Parade like Block Party?
Yeah, get your Aladdin-ness in now, they're getting rid of the show at DCA.

I havent seen block party so I cant compare them, its a pretty good parade with all the Pixar characters.
Where did you hear they were getting rid of aladdin? I know they are supposed to improve the theater but I never heard they were getting rid of the show? if it is going away have you heard what is going in its place? its a great show and if they replaced it with another great show i would be ok with that. I had a CM a few years ago tell me blue man group was going in there but I think they went to USO instead.

Re: I went and did it and its going to cost me.
I heard from a CM friend of mine that Aladdin was getting nixed in the tradition that DCA is only keeping shows there for 5 years. I love it too, maybe (hopefully) she's mistaken and meant Aladdin's Oasis, which I hear is changing.
I saw BLAST or whatever it's called there and I liked it. Disney's pretty good at entertainment.

Yeah, I think it is Aladdin's Oasis. Aladdin show in DCA packs em in every show. I hope they don't get rid of it!

They did. I hear ads for them regularly on the radio.svickersart wrote:I had a CM a few years ago tell me blue man group was going in there but I think they went to USO instead.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
