Post by EeyoresButterfly » Thu May 15, 2008 1:15 am

Today McDonald's is promoting their new Southwest Chicken biscuits and sandwich. With the purchase of a medium drink you can get a free chicke biscuit (breakfast) or sandwich (lunch/dinner). The promotion runs from 7am-7pm.

Just had the sandwich for lunch, not bad except they put pickles on it, even though I ordered it NO PICKLES. It is a little dry, needs mayo or something but what I want to know is who puts pickles on chicken? I think they are vile to begin with but chicken and pickles, just the thought is gross. Since it was nothing but chicken and pickles I picked them off but the juice was soaked into the bun, which is a regular hamburger but so I scraped out half the bun but could still taste pickle on the meat. they really didnt win me over, free or not getting the order wrong. And just so you all know, I bought other stuff and was going there anyway, they offered the free sandwich so I tried it.

That is an unusual combination. But I seem to remember that a food channel show, showing various sandwiches across the country included one that had that combination. Not sure where it was!

Dudes... I'm no pickle junkie, but have you never been to a Chick-fil-A??? That is THE chicken sandwich -- buttered bun, tender chicken, and yes, pickles.

Mmmmmm... Chick-fil-A.

And so was the leftover Wall-Mart pizza and the Cumberland Farms cookies I just had for dinner. In fact, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a tall glass of Beverly!

NOT

I wish I saw this thread earlier today.

Actually the Wall-Mart pizza is not bad when hot.
