I almost got myself run over by the High School Musical. . .

. . .pep rally stage/float thingie- and other tales from our trip. God, would that have made for a humiliating obituary.

Coming soon. Right now the Stupid Guest Germs have once again taken me over- hitting me hard on the way home and I've been flat in bed the 2 days since. Good thing we didn't have extra days on our trip they would have been a total loss to me. I just can't be in WDW for more than 4 days without getting something really horrible.

then again I did forget to take my airborne- my stomach was acting up and I didn't want to push it. So the respiratory thing got me in the end- as usual. Blech.

Stay tuned kiddies!

Stories include: (of course the one mentioned in the title)

Being remembered by Main Street CM's (again!) :)

Best WDW Meal Ever
S'cuse me, but is that a lizard?
and many more!

I had an even scarier encounter with that float. I was secretly crossing Backstage at DHS to get to Tower and as soon as I went in the gate by Oscar's the float was coming full speed toward me. Luckily I jumped out of the way just in time or else!

I know the shortcut you're talking about, I use it myself regularly when I visit Studios. I thought all the floats for the parades came out of the gate on the other side of Hollywood Blvd., not the Oscar's Gate.

I'm surprised there wasn't a sign or a CM stopping people from coming back there during the maneuvering of the floats. At the MK no one is allowed in the areas where floats are maneuvering, they block off with rope some of the backstage areas and have signs telling people not to enter due to parade traffic. The CMs who assist with the maneuvering stop anybody who try to get anywhere near an area where floats are moving. One time I was checking out the Spectro floats backstage a little while before the parade and started walking down the road to see more of them when a CM stopped me because floats were still being moved into position down there.

Sometimes during later shows it is over at Oscar's because it will go down sunset blvd and come out hollywood blvd for the next show.

Aw, I 'm sorry the germies attacked! We must have matching immune systems. Feel better soon! lots and lots of rest and chicken zoop!
I know what you mean about getting sick there. I am crossing fingers that I won't catch anything while we are in Florida. We will be gone for 24 days!

Can't wait to hear stories from your trip! Sounds like you had fun! And er, an interesting time with High School Musical! Looking forward to the stories from the trip!

Now every time I have seen the HCM float it was on the other side by the break room / smoking area (first aid/guest services). They don't rope off for it but do rope off for the parade.

First installment of my trip blog is up, if anybody cares! LOL :p: I warn you though it's back story as to why this trip was so special for us before I get to the actual trip.

I also warn you that it's going to take me awhile to post it all. With this whole vision issue (specialist appt is Tuesday. . .) my computer time has been drastically reduced. But if you are interested, there are some cool stories! And my report will be 99.9 percent SG free since I posted all the SG stuff on the board here so as not to clutter up my good memories with their stupidity LOL

Heres the link hope you enjoy!

Bru, I LOVE your story with all the pixie dust (of all kinds)! Can't wait to read the next chapter about the little girl on the plane.
Hugs to you and your DH.
