OT Video Games.

Post by Freak » Wed Nov 19, 2003 11:40 pm

After Dante posted about Video Game Systems, I thought about all my favorite games...

Halo - Awesome Game
Rouge Squadron 3 - Cool SW game
Castlevania - Classic
Pac-Man - Must I explain?

I mean, there are some badass games out there, just thought I could see what everyone's into...

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (I've played XBOX, but LucasArts just sent me the PC version, so I have to try that out)
Gladius (addictive)
HALO (it's cool)
Kingdom Hearts (yes, it's Disney by SquareEnix... you can't go wrong!)

And going back in time...

Monkey Island (all of them. They rule!)
The Longest Journey (an awesome story, and we met the writer at E3... a very cool guy)
Mario Kart 64 (I'm planning to get the GC version)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (it's all about the raccoon cap!)
The old Ghostbusters game for the Atari (I still have a 2600 somewhere)

That game was alright, but I never finished it because of a bug that meant I couldn't do something I had to do to move forward.

Weeble's all time greatest hits:

Stand up, coin operated video games:
  • Galaga, first love.
  • 720, this was the skateboard game, SKATE OR DIEEEE!
  • Bubble Bobble, my bro and I plunked down sooo much cash on this game, then we figured out how to "flip pennies"
  • R360 at Disneyland, it's why I got fired from Disneyland (that's a whole other story)

Console Games:
  • Gotta give it up for super mario brothers
  • Final Fantasy series
  • GTA: Vice City

PC Games:
  • SimCity Series (the office building for maxis is 4 blocks from me right now!)
  • Close Combat series, if you ahev never seen this, it's awesome, real time ww11 combat sim. None of this turn based crap.
ALL TIME GREATEST GAME IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND:

I have been playing this game for over 2 years now, it is a MUD which stands for Multi User Dungeon. Think everquest, only all in text and free. I know it sounds wierd, an all text game, but trust me. If you like rpg's, D&D or fantasy novels like Lord of the Rings, try this! My character on the game is pretty powerful and if you give it a try and drop me a line, I will hook you up :)
