Do any of you know what operations managers do? Just wondering. Are they even called that? I've heard that some managers are called Guest Service Managers, not sure about Ops though. Are there levels of this particular manager?
Thanks!
Do any of you CM's know anything about Operations Managers?

Re: Do any of you CM's know anything about Operations Managers?
That is such a general question, as Operations covers various areas of the park, including attractions. Most lower-level managers are called Guest Service Managers, from there you have area managers, managers in charge of specific things (like fastpass managers) and duty managers.
Guest Service Managers are responsible for overseeing the day to day operation in their particular line of work. So when I worked attractions, the GSMs were responsible for collecting our opening and closing checklists, monitoring the deployment system, dealing with any guest issues that arose, etc. The area manager oversaw the GSMs, I rarely saw him so I don't know exactly what he did. The managers like FP managers handle all aspects of whatever it is they are in charge of. For instance, the FP manager has the ability to raise or lower the ration of FPs printed at any ride. Finally, the duty managers are in charge of overseeing the entire park. They will make decisions like whether or not to send parade if the weather looks bad, make sure things are going smoothly, etc. Most duty managers have other responsibilities (like area manager) and rotate the position.
