A question for the CM's

Post by spanky » Tue Mar 18, 2008 9:40 pm

Hi guys Long time listener first time caller
First of all let me say I have been to WDW 25+ times and have always had the greatest times, and it's because of all the great Cast members I have met. You are all the hardest working people making magic for others. Thank you so much!! Now to my Question...

My son is in the first grade and has to do a little project on Owls. He has to put together a back board with pictures and a little report for the project. I am planning a surprise trip for him and his little sister for spring break. Is there anyone I can contact at AK so he might be able to meet one of the vets and talk to them and maybe take a couple pictures with him and an owl? I think this would make his his year.

Top of the day to you Spanky....

Their is only own place to find owls on property and that is at the Pocahontas show at Camp Minie-Mickey. If the kids are over 12 years old then they can go on the Keepers of the Kingdom tour which is a behind the scenes tour of the animal houses, and more. I will contact Guest Relations for you tomorrow and get a better answer for you about how to meet and greet with an Owl.

Hey, Doc, I believe there are also owls in the Flights of Wonder show at AK, including meet and greets with some of the birds and their trainers after the show.

We did the Flights of Wonder show at AK when we were there in February. The pictures we took didn't turn out that great with so many people there. I was hoping for a little one on one time, it wouldnt be but a couple minutes. I know WDW is the place where magic happens. Thanks again Everyone.

I'll also do some follow-up on this, and see if McKey and I get the same answer. But, as you can see in the note I put on his signature, he can get people to do amazing things. In KidAtHeart's words, he doesn't so much snort pixie dust as s**t it.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Thanks Big Wallaby. I really hope I can work something out. Of all the animals he could of picked for his project he chose owls. I have never seen an owl in the wild here is Georgia. He chose the hardest one. When I grew up in Port Charlotte Fl I saw them all the time. We had an owl habitat near our house. It's gone now Hurricane Charley took it out.

Does it work better than fiber?
