Re: In Bed With the Devil
THey have been running a "Disney 411" bit about the Broadway show on Disney Channel for a month or so now and interview the kids doing Flounder where they talk about their "Custom Designed Shoes"
that make them look like they are swimming. PLEASE! Even Meghyn knew what they were and she doesn't even have a pair (and NO she is not getting a pair either) If God wanted you to have wheels on your feet to go to the grocery store, you would have been born with them in your heels.
Give it time and the fad will pass and come back 20 years later in a new more evil form. Kinda like mini skirts ;)

Don't forget they were also a sponsor of the pre-Marathon "Health Expo" and had a full page ad in the Marathon program book.

Yeah, I liked mini skirts and looked pretty good in them when I was much younger and less *Shapely* than I am now. I was liike the model, Twiggy. Very tall and very slender. Mini skirts looked great with knee high boots! I loved wearing those outfits in the 60's and 70's. They were cute! I even had a leather mini skirt I wore with leather boots. Quite the fashon plate. LOL!
Princess*NO mini skirts for me now, OH HELL NO!!!!!!!

Re: In Bed With the Devil
I hope that the shoes are going to be different somehow than the current crop of Heelys. I would hate to think that performers are destroying their ankles just to glide around. And as far as Heelys making the shoes for performers meaning that kids can use them in the parks, I would assume that just because they use them in the parades, if a guest comes into the park on stilts they would probably be asked to take them off.
So I don't have a problem with Heelys making the shoes for the performance... I don't think that's the problem. Rather, the problem is the mentality that people have in using them in the parks. I never see roller skates or roller blades in the parks. I think there needs to be more enforcement at the front of the parks that guests can't use them. Last night, I asked a kid to put their wheels up, and their parents gave me this funny look. You almost want to give up...
Then again, common sense would dictate that you don't want those things on when you're going to be walking on ground that is intentionally uneven in places anyway... Can you imagine if the lady that jumped from the safari truck and injured herself had been wearing them? She would have been much more injured than her panic-induced stupid move* created.
*I do not have any other info to make a claim that this person was or was not a SG in any other situation. Any time a person panics, they turn stupid, no matter what their IQ or common sense level on a day-to-day basis. We all have been victim to panic-induced stupidity at some time in our lives. To claim otherwise would make one a SG.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
