Hat embroidery @ WDW
I know that they now charge for putting names on ears and such things - but do one still need a receipt for their items? I bought a set of great condition Minnie ears from Cast Connection and would love to get them personalized. However, the receipt is long gone.

If it is not a style currently being sold at the hat shop there should be no problem. Or bringing it in while it is in a non-Disney bag and making sure there is no price tag on it and going directly to the person doing the embroidery. Lately the ears have a sticky price tag on the back side which is very difficult to peel off.

What do you do when the embroiderer misspells your name. Mine was taken and made into to separate names. Lisa Beth instead of Lisabeth. How to I get them to do it right. I did tell them it is one name not two but it still gets messed up.

Two options: change you name OR have them go over it with: Snooty Gizzardbutt!!!TalkingHands wrote:What do you do when the embroiderer misspells your name. At DL CM writes the name you request on paper then asks you if this is correct. You approve before they embroidery. If the name is wrong I've seen threads taken out & redone. If the hat is really messed up you'll be given a new one - no charge. This is all done with a receipt in hand. This is SOP at MadHatter, Annex, & DCA. FYI, ears have gone up in price as of last week. Names are still free.TalkingHands wrote:What do you do when the embroiderer misspells your name. How to I get them to do it right. I did tell them it is one name

I think one of the CMs from the Chapeau told me that the embroidery is either going up to $3 when the Chapeau reopens or that it went up when the Chapeau closed. She also said that they will stop giving a Cast Member discount on embroidery. It was part of a conversation about her not liking to have to go to the Emporium to do embroidery while the Chapeau is being remodeled.Sarah Magdalene wrote:I know that they now charge for putting names on ears and such things - but do one still need a receipt for their items? You could get the whole hat for $3.00 in 1972! Gee, it's fun to be old. :(
