Guests Wearing Name Tags
Hey everyone (especially DL CM's),
My brother-in-law and I will be visiting for the day on 2/7. For my birthday last year my wife got me one of those red name tags they sell to guests at DL (and, I assume, at WDW) with my name engraved on it. (I think they're called "Guest of Honor" name badges.) I'm considering wearing it when I'm there, but I was wondering what y'all's take on them is first. If they tend to scream "SG!" or "loser wannabe CM!", then I'd rather not wear it.
So, what do you think of them?
On a vaguely related note, and with my main question out of the way, he and I will be there that day to fulfill a deal we made. I agreed to go on Tower of Terror with him if he'd go on the Sun Wheel with me. I'm still pretty hesitant about the Sun Wheel (only done it once, and that was an accomplishment), and I'm really nervous about ToT, so if anyone has anything they'd like to share that might make me (a) look forward to them a bit more, and/or (b) help me be less nervous, please share.
It'd be fun to say, "Hi" to any of you we see, too, so if there's a way I can recognize you (or you me) without having to buy any new hats/shirts/buttons/Cheshire Cat masks :cheshire: , let me know.

LOL....I am just being quiet on this and referring you to BRWombat to answer as a guests point of view. SORRY WOMBAT, it was too funny.
Belgarion, I am not making fun of you, honest. We just had a thread on here that had something similar about the nametags. Have a great trip and words of advice.."Dont Look Down" :D:
PSST...my opinion on the name tags, they are cool but dont wear them where the CM's wear theirs. Ask Wombat about his experiences.

A-hem. So much for my idea huh? LOL
Help control A.D.D., Spank a kids ass.

Nah, I wouldn't worry about wearing that nametag. Gives me a chance to address you by your name rather than sir or ma'am. Have fun on ToT even though DHS version is the best!

I like the DCA version, there is more surprise to the drop IMO.CMGUY89 wrote:Nah, I wouldn't worry about wearing that nametag. Gives me a chance to address you by your name rather than sir or ma'am. Have fun on ToT even though DHS version is the best!
Nametags, I say wear it. I want one, I'd wear one.
Sun Wheel, pick a non-sliding car, unless that is what you're supposed to ride on :) Enjoy the view :)

I think the 5th dimension scene compiled with the movement and starfield doors give it a little something special. But to each his own!!!ktulu wrote:I like the DCA version, there is more surprise to the drop IMO.

Don't worry about the TOT or other attractions, just remember what I tell my grandkids" The worst that can happen, is that something will go wrong, and you will be killed"
Then their "grandma" and I ride it before them!!

You agreed to the Sun Wheel so pray for strong winds and make sure you know how to get on the nonswinging ones, giggles, and you fulfilled your promise.
Wear the badge as it is fun and I have had friends wear them. It is a nice way for people to get to know you and ignore the SGs as they will find something else to insult.
good luck

No worries, Vixen. I'm pretty thick-skinned when it comes to teasing (I can dish it out and take it). I think I just found the post you're referring to in his Top 8 thread though (Post #42, even, what a coincidence). I usually keep us on the boards here pretty well, but I missed parts of the that thread.
So, Wombat, having done it, do you recommend wearing it? And Vixen, where would you suggest I wear it? (Be nice. ;) )

LMMEO....well as this is a not G-rated board, I probably can come up with few suggestions but one of the bigs guys might slap me upside the head.
What about on your lapel or lanyard (if you wear them) Or maybe your backpack or hat if you have those? Or if you dont mind a pin in certain private parts, >(scroll down)
