Oh the things I hear...

Post by ectomstr » Sun Jan 20, 2008 12:12 am

So I work back-of-the-house at CRT, i don't really "interact" much (as in not at all) with the guests but i do hear some rather good SGT's. but today, takes the taco.

As a restaurant we have to cater to those who have special needs with food-allergies and such. a lot of times we get a request for "vegetarian food". today's "veggieosaurus" gets my SGT for the day. for she said to her server, which was relayed to the cook: "I'm a vegiterian but i can eat bacon".

thank you. good night. *leaves in a stupor*

A vegetarian that can eat bacon? What the heck? You're not a true vegetarian if you eat meat of any kind.

high sodium, high allergy risk, banned by some religions, and artificial crap like nitrates added

I guess all of us are being mislead and bacon really does grow on trees.

Sadly I must come to defense of this SG. There are MANY vegetarians that eat meat, but they may only eat one kind of meat. Of course that don't make them 100% vegetarians. Kinda like the Amish. some are "hard core" (for lack of better word) Amish, and some are Amish that drive cars. I have an uncle that is a vegetarian but he will only eat bologna. (Don't ask why..YUCK). Kinda dumb I know, but hey. SG live stupid life styles.

I took a girl on a first date to dinner. She had told me she was a vegetarian. The menus came and she ordered a huge steak. I said, "I thought you were a vegetarian?"

"I am," she replied, "Unless someone else is buying."
