Top Eight Wombat trip SGT’s

Post by BRWombat » Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:27 am

Okay, I've been holding out on you, thinking I'd post these stupid guest tricks after they appeared in my trip report. BUT the report is taking a while to write, so I thought I'd start sharing these. (It would be a Top Ten list, but we only saw eight SGT's, which over a 9-day vacation is not too bad.) So, without further ado:

Number 8. On the beach at the Poly, watching the “Holiday Wishes” fireworks. Beautiful, clear night, comfortable temperature, beach chairs – and a lady nearby who talked on her stinking cell phone through the entire show!

Thankfully, she talked softly enough that I could usually tune her out, but seriously – if you’re there, be there and watch the fireworks, or get up and go somewhere else to talk!

Okay, Wombat. #8 has had a contract taken out on her cell phone and she'll never bother you again.
Now on to #7 please....

That's super annoying. I thought the lady who kept saying "OMG, that's IT?" during every break in Wishes was bad - but that would have put me over the edge. I may have thrown her cell in the water.

That when you run up to her, yell "It's an emergency" grab her phone, and throw it into the lagoon!!

When she ask's what the emergency was, you tell her that some fish were having a hard time hearing the music, and they needed to call in an SG! (don't tell her what SG means!)

Heh! I love the suggestions. (And I'm looking forward to hearing what you all think I should have done to number 1!)

Number 7. At the Transportation and Ticket Center, while walking towards the ramp to the monorail station, there's a man wandering aimlessly with a frustrated look on his face. I overhear his bewildered question: "How do we get to the rides???"

No, no, no. When she ask's what the emergency was, you play dumb! "There is an emergency?!? I wish someone had a cell phone!!!"

I don't know if I should feel sorry for the guy or laugh. Think I'll laugh! That is too funny! :ridicule: What an idiot!

Okay, on with the show. I'm rather proud of this one...

Number 6. The morning of New Year's Eve at the Land pavilion in Epcot. It's packed, as you might expect, and I've been waiting in line almost ten minutes just to get a Fastpass for Soarin', but the machines are in sight -- in fact, I'm just about to where the single queue breaks into multiple lines, one for each FP machine.

Suddenly there's a preteen kid with a fistful of tickets trying to push his way through the line. Me and a guy in line ahead of me block his way. "There's a line," I say. "It starts back there," the guy adds.

The kid rather unconvincingly tries, "But my dad's up there!"

We're having none of it. "Sorry, but he should have had the tickets he needed when he got in line."

"See ya!" the guy ahead of me chimes in.

Score one for the good guys. :)
