Question about WDW discounts - specifically World Showcase

Hi everybody! I'm a DL CM going to WDW very soon and despite a long, unsuccessful search on the portal...ahem...the Hub (just can't get used to that...), I am a little unclear on the CM merchandise discounts in World Showcase.

For example - last time I went, I was told that I did not get a discount at the Mitsukoshi department store in Japan. I checked the Cast Discounts on the Hub about a month ago, and it was listed as being somewhere that our standard A or B discount applied. Now it seems to have disappeared off of the discount list completely. So confused.

I'm also confused as to which of the other merch locations in WS are operating participants and which are Disney operated. The CMs seemed SOOOO confused last time I was there whenever I showed my Cast ID, so I want to be prepared.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Right now, we get 40% off on Merchandise at all WDW stores except for Mitsukoshi over at Epcot, there it's 20%.
