Stroller Fights...

Post by CMGUY89 » Sun Jan 06, 2008 6:49 pm

Okay so two days ago I had two MAJOR stroller fights. One requiring a manager and another that almost required security. They were so bad and so close to each other that I was really upset for the rest of the day.
Incident #1
A woman with a stroller charges past the "No strollers past this point" sign upstairs and is heading toward The Circle of life.
Me: Excuse me ma'am, strollers are not permitted past the sign...
Woman: But scooters are allowed in the building...
M: Yes it is federal law that we can't forbid Wheelchairs and ECV's inside the building
W: So if I was a morbidly obese fatass on a scooter I could come in?
M: Yes, but you're stroller would still have to stay outside. It's part of the ADA
W: Well my baby can't walk...how is that fair?
M: Ma'am you can carry your baby, you can't carry your 80 year-old grandmother.
W: Well I want to speak with your manager
M: Yes ma'am I can call my manager but I can tell you he will have the same answer as it is a fire code.
W: Oh we'll see about that!
So my manage comes upstairs and sends me back to front doors and proceeds to argue with this woman for another 15 minutes. Finally he gets the stroller from her and parks it all the way at the bottom of the ramp after saying he would "Be happy never to speak with that woman again."

Incident #2
A FAMILY tried to come in the doors with a stroller and this is the fight that ensued.
Wife: My Child isn't feeling well can he just stay in the stroller?
M: I'm sorry ma'am, I can't let you in. I would like to but you would have to go to GR to get a stroller/wheelchair tag.
W: Well you don't have to be an ass about it.
M: Ma'am I assure you that I am not being an ass, I am just doing my job to follow the law.
W: Yeah whatever...(Under her breath) Fucking idiot...
I lost it...
M: Excuse me ma'am, do you have something to say to me?
Husband: Shut the fuck up.
W: Yeah, take that stroller and shove it up your ass. We are never coming back!
I was so flabbergasted by the whole situation that had I considered it I would have pulled the bait and switch. I would have asked them to wait so I could call a manager and work something out, and call security instead. I really wanted to say "If you are that desperate to leave I would be more than happy to have security escort you from the park" I couldn't believe these pieces of shit did this in front of their kids!
On top of that I got yelled at by a coordinator by giving a family a fastpass to soarin'. Sigh, that was not a good day. I am now to the point that I want to say to guests "Go ahead, make my day". I want to call security on a guest really badly now, it will make me feel a whole lot better.

Jeez, hope you have a better day tomorrow! What a bunch of idiots. I gotta agree with you, I would have security give them the quick tour of the egress as soon as they could have got there.

I guess rules are not for people that don't want to be inconvienced?

Sorry you had a close encounter with SG's, one alone and a whole family!!

Are some people failing to take their meds? What else could it be?

Wonder what brand of camera they used. Sucker must be tough, as it survived!

I love what the manager did with the stroller. That ramp is a bitch to walk. Hope they had a nice hike all the way to the bottom to find their stroller. Too bad they didnt see where the manager parked it, wait till they went inside and then go move the thing to the other side of the flower/sign bed. HEHEHE! Really mess with their brains...OH WAIT! They dont have much to mess with, could that be considered SG abuse?

Your SG#2
Why they hell are you dragging a small child around an amusement park if Jr. is not feeling well. Take the darn kid to the doctor or somewhere to rest if it isnt too serious.
As for her threatening not to come back....GOOD! Less waiting in line for everyone else.

As usual, you bring up a goood point. If the kid is sick, he/she dosn't need to be dragged all over the park!

and on the other one, you could always take it over to test track!! (hehehehe)

Hang in there. Those are two out of how many thousand people you met today?

And you got some good, juicy stories to post here.

Just wondering, when they accused you of being an ass when you weren't, is that the time you could call your manager? My experiences lately is that people will make up stories just to get their way, very psycho of them...not to mention the verbal abuse.
