Here is a good video I found, Peggy Lee recording He's a Tramp
for Disney. and I noticed the guys who sung the dogs part was
the Mellomen. http://youtube.com/watch?v=cO3hrVaVzP0
i.e. the guys who sang for the busts in the Haunted Mansion.

Pretty good video, I think I saw it on wonderful world of Disney ** years ago! (number deleted for security reasons, as far as you know!!)(hehehe)

I just wonder how the guys don't crack up while singing like dogs, or how many takes it took till they got it right!!!

in this clip it looked like peggy was going to lose it a few times when the guys were doing thier parts. watch her face while she sings.

You're right, it looks like she keeps looking to her left, away from them!! I would make the assumption that the video is a lip snych for the clip to show on T.V., , and that they did it in a studio before filming it!

I have always loved Peggy Lees' voice. She was great as Peg.

FYI, She also was the voice of Si and Am, the two Siamees cats of aunt Sarah. Also, did you know that the character of Lady was based on Walts personal Cocker Spanial Milly.

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

Didn't know that about the dog. I do remember seeing a clip of her recording the two voices for the cats, very innovative at the time, using a recording of the first track played back while she sang the second. Leave it to Disney!!

it's older than Disney, the guy who did the chipmonks used it.
he would do one track at a time, then play them and do another track, then speed them up to make the chipmonks. and this was way before a moog synth or software. Disney used a moog for the electrical parade.

True, but Disney made a "video" of it and showed it on World of Disney, thereby sealing it in the minds of all taht they "invented" it!!

When DSS was in band, the Bandleader made them play the mainstreet Electrical Parade music, Over and over and over...you get the idea!

When we went there and the Real parade started..he and his friends decided to go ride the matterhorn!
