Nice. My roommates got me "HSM: Sing It!" for the Wii for Christmas, and I've been listening to it on my iPod all day to try to learn the songs... They thought they'd get me a joke gift. I'll show them! :D: Honestly, Disney's quality of entertainment rarely disappoints: even if I'm not the target audience, the music is great and the story and moral have value!

the school that HSM was filmed at is right here in my home town. It gets TOURISTS! Seriously, people show up, even during school hours, and wander the halls looking for characters' lockers and dance scene locations and such. The school has had to take on a bit of extra security to keep 'em in line and make sure the students stay safe.

Seriously... full grown adults... *rolls eyes*

My one of my roommates went to Jordan High down in Sandy, UT. He said he thought they filmed at West in SLC. Is that right or is he just making stuff up again? ;)

I just gave him the line from Not Another Teen Movie "Who knew everyone at that school are all professional dancers?!?"

I guess that's fairly close to where they belong. But after reading this site, many belong in the lower grades. like elementary school. And a few need to get a refresher course in pre-K (like those who don't know how to find a restroom).

I think the worst part of that, is that when I was raising my kids, and now when we have the grandkids, I would be totally embarrassed if that happened. I don't knwo what those SG parents would possibly be thinking, but I have seen a LOT of lame excuses!!

Close... West actually doesn't exist anymore... The School they filmed HSM at is East High School. *grin* They didn't even change the name of the school for the movie. However the East High mascot is the leopards, not the wild cats. But your friend did have it right that they filmed it in SLC.

From what I hear and have noticed, Disney does quite a bit of filming here in the Salt Lake Valley. (even Pirates 3 had a cameo of the Salt Flats!) We've got a bit of everything, I guess.. picturesque mountains, bustling city... huge stretches of nothing at all....

And rain and snow may not be quite as big a problem as in many areas of the country.

On the other hand, even tho a salt flat may be able to double for a snowscape, it would be very hard on the cast to act in thick fur coats. :D:
