I fell asleep

Post by CycloneMan » Mon Dec 10, 2007 9:56 pm

Yes, you read that correctly, I passed out in my attraction today at the Zoo. Dinosaur Encounter (Read this to understand what DE is). There were no guests at all today, so I was sitting. I told the woman at the ticket booth outside the tent that I wasn't feeling so good, so I went into it, and I sat down. The next thing I knew it was an hour later and I was getting woken up by a sup...who was laughing at me, and thought it was hilarious! I freaked out and asked the two ladies (co-workers, over 35 years old) why they didn't wake me up, and they both said, "Eh, we didn't want to bother you!" :rtfm: I was so confused. I looked at my cell, and saw I had to close up. Then the lady told me that one woman came with a child and saw me passed out and asked the lady if I was okay, and my co-worker said "Oh he's fine! Let him sleep!" ...um...what the hell is going on? Oh god. My boss thought it was hillarious too.

The Zoo is a totally screwed up, backwards world okay! If this was Asstroland I would have been fired so fast! Well...this is my story of sleeping on the job, I hope you enjoyed!

Dude, definition of not funny, right there. That's awful. From the sound of it, you don't exactly have a history of doing this...

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Yeah, that's pretty messed up. I would, at least, nudge you to see if you were "just asleep" or something more serious. Even more so because you had said you weren't feeling well earlier.

Normally one does not fire a volunteer for something like that, as long as they are a good worker.

My problem is how am I going to harass him properly this Saturday when I seem him at the family holiday party at my mother's house. (And he is a high school student.) Maybe I will find a "Sleepy" pin for him.

^Please don't wake me up when I fall asleep on your mother's chair :menorah: . Maybe I wont have a dream of dinosaurs chasing me this time :knife: . On a side note, I through on my WDW hoodie because I was feeling a bit cold, so My uniform shirt was covered, but my pants and color were pretty visible, so technically speaking, I wasn't fully in a uniform :waves:

Hehehehe, I fall asleep all the time at work, it can get very boring just sitting here and since I suffer from sleep apnea and have to be up at 05:30 am to drive to work and have been going to school until 10:00 pm 2 nights a week I can get very tired. Sometimes I can look through the window to my bosses office and see him sleeping too. Our service manager will actually go out to his vehicle and sleep in the middle of the day and all my drivers will sleep on one of the couch's given the chance. If I sit still too long these days I will go to sleep, seems I can sleep just about anywhere.

Be thankful that you did not wake up to a 250 pound guy screaming in your face. The ladies were watching the attraction and nothing bad happened. Learn from this and fear the relatives who will be gossiping at family get togethers, ooh, now that is scary.

Of course, In a flashback to my highschool days, it dawned on me that the reason that they were laughing and found it so hilarious was because of the pictures that they took..

You don't sleep with your mouth open, do you?

Heh heh...I woke up to read this post. I'm in the same boat as a previous poster: I've gotta be up hella early to drive into the city, run around at my job all morning putting out fires, and then everyone who sits near me leaves just as I'm eating lunch! All the calls stop but we've gotta have a couple of people here "just in case"... As a result, I've become the king of kicking my feet up on the desk, leaning way back in my chair and passing the hell out!
On the other hand, if you said you weren't feeling well, I probably would have checked on you at least...It's possible the ladies just thought you were over-extended, though: between work, and all the crap they pile on you at school, they probably just figured you needed some rest. I have a suspicion they wouldn't have left your ass there at the end of the day...
