Re: Enchanted
I guess I'm going to have to go see that.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Re: Enchanted
Liz and I went to see it. Extremely good. I don't know that I would take young children, much for the same reasons my parents debated taking my younger brother when Lion King came out. There are some very grown up themes, but a great, great movie.

Re: Enchanted
I need to talk Donnie into getting up early and driving over to see it. It is a 40 min drive to a decent -as in not run down and so disgusting that you are afraid to touch anything- theater.
I am not worried about the adult jokes as most of them will roll right over the little monsters head and she will be more interested in the chipmunk then anything else. As long as there is no nudity or major violence we are good to go.
Just out of curiousity, and maybe it is late at nite and my brain is not working, but what is inappropriate about Lion King? The only thing I can think is Scar having the shit beat out of him and Mufasa (say it again...mufasa...oooo) being trampled by wildebeests. ???????

I think some of the "circle of life" things like you described are (in some parents opinion) a little much for kids. DW took grandkids (7, 5) and they thought it was great! No problems!vixen101485 wrote:I need to talk Donnie into getting up early and driving over to see it. Re: Enchanted
(Assuming we are not spoiling anything for anyone here)
The Kids and I had tears running down our faces when Mufasa died!
Might want to be prepared ahead of time for anything like that, depending on the kid.

I didn't say adult themes, I said grown-up. If your kids can handle it, that's great and I think they'll enjoy it. But much like the way Mufasa's death affected Simba, there are some interesting interactions and moments in this movie like that. However, they'll probably go over the heads you don't want to have understanding what is going on.
