DreamFinder and Figment
DreamFinder and Figment
Did Disney ever have a walk around DreamFinder with a speaking Figment? someone told me it was very rare to get someone who could play both parts live. most of the time just DreamFinder spoke. most DreamFinders I have heard sound like they are trying to do chuck mccann. I cracked up the Mad Hatter and Alice once at DLR, I told the hatter he sounded like a young ed wynn, he said thank you. :D:

Re: DreamFinder and Figment
Although Chuck was on record as the voice of Dreamfinder in the attraction, there was a falling-out before everything was recorded.
Ron Schneider was able to do an exact voice as Chuck, so part of the sound track was Ron. And Ron was the first walk-around DF after the attraction opened; he had that position for about three years.
Ron has done various things, both outside of and in Disney. For years he had been in the Titanic show. A couple of years ago the Orlando Shakespeare Theater did The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge and Ron was the Judge. He is currently back in Disney's employ and is one of the people at MILF.
Just some additional history - Joe Hudgins, who was the short person in The Dapper Dans, and who retired in 2001, was actually the person who they used as the model for DF, and did the walk around DF for all the publicity before EPCOT opened.
And Steve Taylor was the primary walk around DF for 15½ year, working with Ron with an overlap but was there until they closed the original show. He is currently not working for Disney.
And there were about 12 other people who played DF, but normally they were only fill-ins when Steve was not available.
And the Figment Puppet never talked (at least to Guests). I know he would sort of "whisper" to Steve and then Steve would relay Figment's comments to the Guests.
Now if we could only ever get rid of Figzilla and bring back the walk around DF with Figment (and Steve said if he could get that position he would give up his other work at the drop of a hat).

I may be really dense here, but what does MILF stand for. I know what I have heard it stands for, but I don't think that is it's meaning in this context.
Please someone, enlighten me.....

Although you know whoever named it that knew it would be a problem when it came to the acronym.
For that reason, the proper name is Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club.
Unlike MILF, that's a mouthful.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
