How to get a Disneyland Professional job?

How to get a Disneyland Professional Salary job?

Ok I really would like to get a Job at the Park on the Professional Salary side of things. I have visited the casting center and was told the only way is through the web site for the Professional jobs or Park leads. I am looking in to the Travel Company or any thing to doing with sales / management. Dose any one know of a good way to get some one to look at my resume, like a better fax than just the general one or just some good trick to get my foot in the door?

Thanks for your help! :)

An additional, ironclad requirement is that if you are offered a position, you MUST return here to post tales of stupidity. We need the corporate take on things. :D:

Best of luck! and

The way large corporations like Disney work, there is probably no other way to get a professional job other than using the online process. Even if someone here did know someone on the inside, Disney policy requires that you still go through the official channels to apply for the job and get hired. The most someone on the inside could do for you would be to alert you where there are job openings and guide you through the application process.

Here's my recommendation: Search the posted job openings on that web site. When you find one you're interested in, tailor your resume to highlight how you meet that specific job's qualifications before you submit it.

I have heard that if you are a Disney CM it increases your chances of getting hired for a professional position. So if your working in the parks as a front line CM it is supposed to help.

Thanks for all the great info I have been trying to get in for some time now. I am in my late 20’s with a new family to support so I wish I could started out as a CM in the park but to bad it doesn’t pay the bills. I have tried faxing and sending information through the web with out any luck.

Having a family to support does make Disney a bit more difficult... in fact, if Liz and I had had kids, we couldn't have done it. The thing I would suggest is getting a part time job here, using it to network and meet managers, let them see your work ethic, and that would certainly help. From what I've seen, Disney seems to prefer hiring from within.

My plan is eventually to get into Management, but I came here with the notion that it would take at least two years before I could do that.

If you were to come and be a Cast Member, they do have a lot of courses you can take through Disney University, and they watch to see you taking those courses. When you go to a Leadership Casting Call having done a lot with Disney University, I understand that plays very well for you.

I wish you luck, and again, welcome to SGT!

It hasn't worked for me yet. I really want to get into IT at WDW. I have had case service managers try to help, I have gone to casting, no luck.

Perhaps the time is not right yet.

I feel your pain Cranbiz… Its pretty hard. My wife is former CM she would guide the movie stars around the park, and my mother in law is a former imaginer with her sculptures available on sale at the park, but still no luck. I am trying to get in to the Travel or employee management so any one they know is useless not knowing the right people.
