Boys and Girls of Every Age, Would You Like to See Something Strange?

"What's this? What's this? There's magic in the air!"

Yes kids, it's that time of year again! Grab a loved one or your dearly departed and head on down to your local moving picture show house for the 2nd annual re-re-release of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas in fabulous Disney Digital 3D!!! Check your local listings for theaters and times (but I'm sure it's not hard to find, it's playing at like 30+ theaters in the greater DC area!)

The theater right near my house has it which is great because I've got a rough day planned tomorrow: I'm getting some majorly painful dental work done and then spending the day drugged up. But I expect to be eating soup and ice cream like a champ by the evening, so I should be good to go for NBC3D!!!

Hope everybody gets another chance to relive the magic of one of the best films of all time! Have fun and I'll see ya' there! :skellingt

You're having dental work done too? It must be a conspiracy! 4 out of 5 dentists agree that SGT may cause cavities! (Zazu, it must be time for a dentist smilie, since there are multiple visits to the dentist here!)
I made it out of my sedation safe on Tuesday..Wish the same for you. Good luck, stock up on jello, pudding and whipped yogurt! SOUP!!! They would not allow me to have hot or even warm stuff the first day. I would have LOVED soup! I could only have ice cold stuff. What are you having done? My two wisdom teeth are now in the garbage! :( MY mouf feels better tho. :D:

Nightmare 3D is playing here in Denver too, might just HAVE to go to the theatre! I have the DVD, but it is so much more fun at the theatre and you get those folks who like to dress up, like going to Rocky Horror Picture Show! The REAL FANatics are fun to watch! And 3D!!! Ooh! Ooh! That is cool!

Congratulations on living through general anesthesia. I also am getting put under, but it's for a molar that military dentists screwed up for me. There's not much of the tooth left, so they're going to have to break my jaw a little to get it out...then four months of healing, then I get an implant which will basically be the same procedure in reverse... My roommate keeps punching me in the face and then telling me if I hold still, he can take care of breaking my jaw a lot faster! :p: But yeah, it's not going to be too bad. I just hate [and always somewhat dread] doing the general anesthesia thing but aside from that, I know I'm a fast healer and I just want to be 100% again by the time I'm at WDW 27+ days from now (so many great dinner reservations, so few teeth to chew with!) When I got my wisdom teeth out (all four in one shot) I was eating solid food by the end of the night, and when I got my tongue pierced, I went to sleep for 3 hours afterward, woke up and was almost totally healed! But I'm older, fatter and smokier now, so I just hope the ol' white cells, platelets and other bio-bits are still able to do their jobs in a prompt and professional manner...

But I came up with a good plan for tomorrow! I'm gonna go out and get pumpkins and rip their guts out tonight, so when I'm coming off the hard drugs and I get used to the vicodin enough to be functional tomorrow, my roommates and I can carve pumpkins and then head out to NBC3D!

There are children throwing snowballs here
instead of throwing heads
They're busy building toys
And absolutely no one's dead

There's frost on every window
Oh, I can't believe my eyes
And in my bones I feel the warmth
That's coming from inside
:skellingt :skellingt :skellingt

Sad part is, I've never actually seen NBC before. I'll have to change that.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

SGT DOES cause cavities as I tend to want to eat when I am reading/posting(sort of like having popcorn at the movies

We LOVE NBC (and fortunate to be near enough to the theatres showing it)
but have never seen anyone dressed up- I would love to see them
(DieHard RHPS fan here- yes, I used to dress up and act it out in front of the screen- I think all the blackmail pictures have been destroyed :rolleyes :)

Mine too...I would NEVER allow anyone to see those pics! Although I think I may have one left. We had meal cards in tthe dorms in college and you had to have you pic on it, so I dressed up as Columbia and they allowed it on my meal card! I think I still have that meal card in my box of college stuff. There was a group of us in college who used to go every Friday and Saturday night! And of course dressed up! So much fun! How many times did ya see it? I think I got to 29 times! Let's do the time warp again! C'mon DisneyMom, Let's dance together! I know you can do it! :timewarp:
NBC! In 3D! EVERYONE HAS to see it!

Oh my Kwahati! That is a serious procedure! I will be thinking of you! That is a big owie! Digging pumpkin guts and brains out is a good idea! Just think what you can create while still under the influence of mind altering drugs!
All the best to you and your teef!

I cannot say how many times I saw it  We used to live in a small town in Riverside County with I swear NOTHING to do, so we started going to the Tyler Mall Midnight Show in Riverside. They had a very good group there,
"The Sins Of The Flesh" and my friends and I were involved in all that for quite a while!
Characters I Played:Janet, Columbia, Magenta,FrankNFurter and Trixie(the one who sings Science Fiction Double Feature at the beginning of the live play)
Now the only place nearby that I am aware of showing RHPS is in Santa Monica..... :( sigh....pulling out my DVD...........

I used to play Columbia and Trixie at a Rocky in Montclair. There is one (or at least a few months ago it still existed) playing in Long Beach, at the Queen Mary. Yep, just checked, it's still playing...Midnight Insanity is the name of the cast (and their website) I did security for them for a little bit (I'm really not scary, they just needed female security to check the females as they entered) I have seen Rocky way too many times to count...went twice a week for a year or so, then went once a week for a few years and have gone a sporadic number of times throughout my life. I have been going to Rocky off and on for 16 years.

Wow, I went there a couple times.....but I think I pre-date you, I haven't been to a live Show since the mid-eighties....How cool that you know who Trixie is, most people (virgins) wouldn't know :p:
