Thank you, Ktulu! I would have done it earlier, but I just got home.

A very nice, if simple ceremony at 10am before a crowd that appeared to be about 40% CMs. A couple of Ambassadors spoke, followed by Erin Wallace, Jim MacPhee, then the Boss and his doxy walked in Marty Sklar. Marty stayed awake, and showed he still has the chops to write copy that hits the important points without sounding like something out of the marketing department.

CMs representing the pavilions, some fireworks, a recreation of the water-pouring ceremony, 25th birthday pins for everyone, and that was all. Except for a special event tag at the end of Illuminations for those who waited through the downpour.

Didn't make it to the history exhibit as I had to get to work, but I hear it was pretty impressive, assuming you knew what you were looking at.

Meanwhile, back at the Big Toaster, there was nothing at all done to commemorate our 36th anniversary. <sigh>

Yesterday at Disneyland I was walking to get to Plaza Inn. Turns out I was following someone from Tomorrowland Terrace's Jedi Academy.

He was jumping up and down like a boy at Christmas, and cheering. He turned to see me and said that the Academy was one year old...

Since I am a fan of the show too, I sang a few notes of the Star Wars Episode 1 celebration song by Augie and the municipal band, and then said "No gungans needed" He smiled at that.

All I have to say is, Cast party at 11am was awesome... by awesome I mean we got free food... LOL! Though I didn't get a free t-shirt because Apparently only Epcot people were supposed to be there... But I definitely was not the only MGM person there lol.

But all you can eat food from food and wine pavilions was well worth the time... I didn't get to see the actual ceremony because of a job interview, but I did get to see it repeated a bunch of times inside the tent. They had cirque du soleil performers there also and did i mention all you could eat food.... fat kids dream.
