New Ride In Fruity Drink Land

Post by hobie16 » Wed Jul 25, 2007 3:15 pm

We've been visited by the Lynx, a replica of an American 1812 privateer. http://www.privateerlynx.com/ We were able to arrange to take our junior sailing classes out for a sail yesterday. The highlight of the trip was a fusillade of cannon fire on the yacht club. Well, okay, it was only two shots but man were those things loud.

It turns out the Lynx and her crew was used to train the actors in all the Pirates of The Caribbean movies. One of the girls kissed the deck where Johnny Depp has stood.

Here's some of the kids getting ready to set the mainsail.

No track on this ship!!

I wish. We could have taken out some Maui SGs along the sea wall.

Looks like a beautiful boat. I would love to sail something like that.

Heck, I'm looking forward to renting a catamaran for a week. When I start booking, let me know if you (anyone) want to come along, I would love the company.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Are you doing a bareboat trip in the Carribbean? That should be a great trip. Take a look at The Moorings and BVI Charters for good boats.

I'm doing a delivery from San Diego to La Paz in November. Should be a lot of fun.
