CM Questions
CM Questions
I have some questions for CM about my upcoming trip to WDW in August. Please help me with these questions so that I won't be a SG when I go. :D:
1. Are the Character Pre Plated Meals "All You Care to Eat"? I am confused about this because of this information:http://www.allearsnet.com/din/buffet.htm
http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/...actermeals.asp
(read thier definition of pre plated)
2. Can two small children share one kids meal? What about at character dining?
3. If you one person on you ADR that is held by credit card does does not show up do you still get charged for the absent person?
4. Can you use a late fastpass?
5. I have LTT ADR's for 4pm during a P &PP at MK and I only have a hard ticket for that day for the party will they let me in before 4pm to get to my ADR's?
Thanks.

1. The food on the Pre-plated meals are brought out to you, but you can get seconds or thirds if you like. They'll just keep brining you food everytime you ask. Buffets you have to go select what you want on yourself and you can make multiple trips. For Family style they bring out the food on platters and you serve yourself like at home. If your platter runs out and you want more just ask and they'll bring it.
2. Kids can share a meal as long as it's not all you can eat. If fact it might make sense to have kids split an adult meal if the kids meals are too small.
3. Sorry don't know. Call Disney dining and ask.
4. I did it a lot the past June. No problem anywhere.
5. I would expect so, but again call Disney dining and ask. They will probably let you in close to 4, but not, say, at 9am. KNIM.

I would call the dining number for the answers to all those questions.

4. It's not an official rule, but all CMs do it here all the time. The late fast passes are good until park closing. You just can't use a day or later fast pass on a different day, unless it is o ked by a lead.

Re: CM Questions
Not a CM and been awhile since I was at WDW.
The three types of all you can eat food are:
Buffet where you take a plate and put your food on it. Sometimes the wait staff will serve you drinks and bring you stuff like napkins but not always.
Preplated means that the kitchen staff makes up the dishes ahead of time. You still can eat all you want.
Preplated family style is like the chinese style restaurant where you get communal bowls that you take your share out of. It can also be like where you get a bowl of mashed potatos, a plate of meat and bowls of veggies and rolls.
Preplated individual meals is like The Garden Grille where I was given a plate of food. I could then ask for rolls and meat or just more potatos.
==================================
Kids and adults are allowed to share food. It is proper etiquette to ask for a second plate if two or more people are sharing a dinner. If someone has something you want to try then that person should take their plate and transfer the item to your plate. Most of the time restaurants will not say anything about a request for a split meal.
If you are on a dining plan then call them as only a CM working with the dining plans can guarantee answers. Saying "The dude on SGT and a lady on Brand X Board said I can do that." will not get you anywhere. Talking to the proper department at least gives you some leverage, maybe.
===================================
Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) is only for shows and dinners that are paid for in advance with a credit card. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the ADR's time. Some are 24 hours before hand and Mickey's Backyard BBQ is same day. The cost may be the whole price of the dinner/show or only $10 depending on the venue.
Check this list and call WDW for more information to get up to date info.

NO you cannot use a late fastpass. Some CMs are very lenient and others very strict. The later you are the more likely you will get a NO. It is a judgement call of the CM and some do not want to waste 15 minutes calling a lead to handle a guest with an old fastpast.

You have an advanced reservation at the Liberty Tree Tavern at MK at 4 pm. You have tickets for a Pirate & Princess Party which usually starts at 7 pm. They are two seperate tickets. Pirate & Princess Party will not get you into the park before 7 pm.
During the days that the Pirate & Princess Party occurs are when MK closes to the public at 7 pm. The old guests leave and the Pirate & Princess Party guests come and party on for 3 hours. Nope no way can you get into the parks before 7 pm with a Pirate & Princess Party ticket.
Plan ahead because you will be facing a herd of people leaving the park while a herd of people are trying to get into the park. A big whine on boards is that these special events start when at the closing time of the park the event is going to occur. Imagine a parking emptying while people are coming in. Every event like this has tons of complaints of people stuck trying to get out and people stuck trying to get in. Best to get there early and wait an hour for the Pirate & Princess Party opening than fight the traffic.

Re: CM Questions
Actually Churchy, Past practice is to let the hard ticket guests (P&PP, MVMCP, MNSSHP) into the park with just the hard ticket at 4pm or later. Of course, this can change depending on the mood of the management at WDW that day but it has been this way for many years. This practice helps with guest management.
I don't know if the turnstile CM's will go earlier that 4pm even if the OP has an ADR at 4pm. There is not a list if guests that have ADR's at the turnstiles at that time. Anyone could say that they had an ADR and there is no way to verify this. My guess is that the OP will be late for dinner. The restaurant will generally hold and ADR for about 15 to 20 minutes after the time (you may have to wait a little longer for your table) so I would say Don't Worry.

Re: CM Questions
I have talked to the wdw dining and the called the podium of the resteraunt tha I have ADR's for and they said that pre plated does not mean all you care to eat. You can only choose 1 thing and that is all you get. You can not share plates. each child has to pay for a meal even if they choose eat it or not. They do not even eat that much so that will be a waste of money for me. They are not sure about the 4pm ADR's. I mucht just have to be late.

Chizee I hereby nominate you as SG of the decade. Thank you for making me look like a fool.Chizee wrote:I have some questions for CM about my upcoming trip to WDW in August. Please help me with these questions so that I won't be a SG when I go. :D:

Thanks.
Question 1 was about an article about buffets and I answered your question based on the assumption you were talking about buffets. Meals can be shared except in certain types of dining which you happened to find.

Hey I am not a SG yet because I am not actualy there at WDW yet. :D: I am trying to avoid being a SG. OK!mechurchlady wrote:Chizee I hereby nominate you as SG of the decade. Thank you for making me look like a fool.

As far as question one is concerned I was refering to pre plated meals because I have ADR's at the cindy dinner and it is pre plated. According to the article link it said that it falls under all you care to eat. That is where I got confused

Re: CM Questions
I am a bit snippy today.
http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_crd.htm
They say it is set meal and not a buffet. Some reviews are rather old. I would stick what the CM said on the phone. I thought it was a buffet but then again Disney is known to change things.
