West coast harmony

Yes, this is two years away, but it's got me excited. :D: I just found out that the international convention for the Barbershop Harmony Society will be in Anaheim in July 2008. That's the year The Vocal Majority returns to compete! We'll stay very busy before the competition (one veteran member told me I'll just see three things: my hotel room, the rehearsal room, and the contest stage!), but you know I will HAVE to work a DLR visit in afterwards. Hopefully I'll be wearing a gold medal!

Do they blindfold you when you leave the stage? Do you have to wear a blindfold from the rehearsal room back to your hotel room?

To hell with that,save 1 vacation day until July,and may mercy be on my soul to get a hotel room that week-end. (and a 'free' ticket) :D:

Now this is just spooky! I too will be in Anaheim that month for a convention (National Model Railroad Convention, 13-20 July 2008). When is your event and how does one get tickets?

I should just drive the mile or less from my office to where the VM has their rehearsals and watch on some thursday. Maybe I'll show up and take photos of Wombat without him knowing who I am muhahahahaha
