Reporting CMs?
Let me ask... if a guest goes to City Hall (or other GR location) and complains about a CM... does anything REALLY happen? I've noticed they seem to write notes down on nothing but a piece of paper (would've figured they'd have a form for it with all the SGs)... makes you wonder if this goes in the trash or what. I hate to see CMs get reported, but we all know there are a couple that give CMs a bad name. I feel for the rest of you who live under that stigma.
On another note, what happens if a guest fills out one of those "Great Service Fanatic" forms at Guest Relations? I've filled out 3 of those before and I'm wondering how they're handled.

I don't know what happens with complaints... Zazu would probably be a better person to answer that.
As far as the Fanatic cards, I know that I have received one from a manager. Didn't know they had them for guests to fill out.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

We went to City Hall, said we'd like to leave a compliment about a cast member, and they handed us the form and told us to fill out the top part. *shrug* I hope it did some good, otherwise I don't know how to recognize the little things CMs do to bring the EXTRA magic...

I've stopped by City Hall a couple of times to pay a compliment and had them give us a form and take notes on a piece of paper also. As a manager myself i always pass on compliments to my drivers and tell them they are doing a good job if its just verbal, if its in writing I pass it on and put the letter in their file. I hope Disney does something to acknowledge a compliment.

Hey, I resemble that!Big Wallaby wrote:I don't know what happens with complaints... Zazu would probably be a better person to answer that.
As is so often true, it depends on the GSM who first gets the complaint. I've gotten a few -- all from working PAC -- and normally the GSM finds me and asks for my side of things.
Normally they've said, "That makes more sense than what they said," and that's the end of it. A couple of times I pleaded guilty and asked for advice on how to avoid such trouble, in which case I got worthless platitudes.
Same with praise, only those do sometimes get forgotten.

How can I make sure you all get the praise you deserve? It's honestly important to me to see that credit is given when credit is due.Zazu wrote:Hey, I resemble that!

Re: Reporting CMs?
Thank you all for stopping by City Hall. :) Means a great deal to all CMs! This form you all filled out is put in our Pers File & always stays within. If CMs are still working when the compliment is turned in very often our managers are called - which is so cool. My compliments have always been faxed to location & given to me. This is such a high!EmptyCinema wrote:We went to City Hall, said we'd like to leave a compliment about a cast member, and they handed us the form and told us to fill out the top part.

Alright, so it does seem to be productive. :) I am so glad that those do make some headway.
CMs are what makes Disney... Disney. I'm not big into thrill rides (ok, I wuss out) so my big thing... the awesome CMs... they let me keep to the illusion that I really don't have a million issues back in the real world just waiting for me to pass the sign that says "See ya real soon!"

Re: Reporting CMs?
I heard, if the complaint is not important, the GR in City Hall just rip it up behind the SGs back when they are not looking!!
I never got a complaint...........or compliment, but I heard that complaints get to you faster then a compliment does, why is that???

Re: Reporting CMs?
June 24th is a Sunday so if you get there real early then there will not be a 4 hour long line. You can use the monorail at Downtown Disney and arrive at the same time as the first wave of people from the front gate. Take a disabled friend along if you do not like waiting. The boards usually are the best place to find out about wait times as they want everyone to know how much they suffered at the hands of Disney.
