Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: Anaheim council OKs Disney-adjacent housing development
Did anyone watch the news and see the Disney "Rep"?
I couldn't believe it!
(Paraphrasing) "We implore the council to keep any housing projects away
from the resort area. This is not the way the Disneyland Resort wants to be
remembered by our countless guests every year and the tremendous revenue
they bring to the Anaheim area."
Ok, this ignoramus needs to be put behind a glow cart the entire Summer
at the standard $8.70 per hour.
Good luck quailfying for any rental units within a ten mile radius.

If you ever stop and ask yourself: "How do they dress themselves?"
Congratulations and welcome to my world.

I watched the news until 12:30 a.m waiting for the council vote. We ALL knew Pringle was voting with Disney. Talk abt a pocket puppet. Pringle is worse than an AP! :( ODV Glow cart @ $8.70 is far too good for this Disney rep. I heard speak. Doubt ODV's Rob would even be able to work with this rep. Remember, Polar is a trainer, don't throw him such a challenge & migraine.Natural Selection Fan wrote:Did anyone watch the news and see the Disney "Rep"?

If I had the money I would move in just to see the fireworks. Maybe set up some $5 parking for guests which would help with housing expenses.

Re: Anaheim council OKs Disney-adjacent housing development
I started to read the article in hobie16's post.1/2 way through the second time it still didn't make sense to me(too much gobbledy-goop). Now that I've read it on Disney board X,it makes sense. Naturalsf is right on the money, make the higher-ups 'try' and live on $8.70/hr,see how they like it. And MS makes a valid piont about global warming. My ? is "It's 'OK" for the CMs to drive 5-15 miles to work, but not the guests?" Between low wages, high rent AND horrible gas prices, what the hell do they expect you to do?

Re: Anaheim council OKs Disney-adjacent housing development
darph, "they" really don't care  . The city nor Disney as a whole. Most of us can so easily be replaced. We lose too many great CMs due to your above statement now. :( Training is never ending because so many can't make it on so little. There is no CM loyalty! As far as driving 5-15 miles to work there are many CMs who drive 1- 2 hrs. On a good day I can make K Lot in 45 minutes. Good days are few. Thanks for your loyalty to all Disney CMs. :)darph nader wrote:"It's 'OK" for the CMs to drive 5-15 miles to work, but not the guests?" But then we'd have to raise your rent to $900.00/mo. for a termite infested
shack with bars on the windows and no hot water.
