Living here I consider Lahaina a type of theme park. It might be called Fruity Drink Land.
I was in my favorite place for lunch on the beach today and overheard a discussion between Pepe the bartender and a ST (stupid tourist). The tourist demanded that he and his group be seated at a table that was already occupied. When told the other party had just been seated and they could be there for at least an hour, the ST demanded they be moved. When Pepe replied that he would not move them and there were plenty of other tables the ST stated that he had made reservations for that particular table. Pepe replied that they did not take reservations for lunch and asked who he talked to.
At this point the ST decided he couldn't bluster/lie his way any further and took another table.
I talked to Pepe after he got back behind the bar to fill in the blanks. He said there was no way he was going to ask the first group to move as they were relatives of one of the owners. I think he watered down the STs drinks too.
