Best Role?
Best Role?
Good times. I left the college program on family reasons about 3 weeks ago.
But I'm going back. Already got approved for re-hire because fo the situation. Now they tell me I can get a new role.
I'm thinking Character Attendant or Attractions (Studios - Maybe ToT or RnR?)
Anyone have any suggestions? Help pick my job. :p

Re: Best Role?
Both of them seem appealing. If you've read my posts or the posts of other people who work in attractions, you'll probably be dealing with "those" people as well. If you don't mind dealing with incompetence and atrocities from others, then I'd lean more towards attractions since I feel as if there are more "sane" people than there are if you were a character attendant. They need to deal with people who complain as well, however, they also have the characters to look over - make sure no guest hurts them physically or verbally with the exception of Tigger.

Haha. Good stuff. How do you like it over at the Studios (at Star Tours.. right?). I've talked to a good amount of Character Attendants who adore their jobs. And I really love characters. No, you don't get it.. I ADORE THEM. Yes, yes, I know.. it'll be different with this role instead of just seeing them onstage.. but characters and the interactions with them and the guests make my day.Pinoy_Stitch_84 wrote:Both of them seem appealing. But if that doesn't work out... how do you like attractions? :)
Or maybe I can be a monorail driver. LOL.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

If you don't mind waiting a little to get character trained and have a chance to be a little mean/rude to guests. Come to the Great Movie Ride!!!

Re: Best Role?
I would think of it more as personnal assistant and body guard to movie stars like Stitch, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Belle. No many people get to be the personal assistant to Mickey Mouse or protect the powerful Stitch from evil doers.
I would go with handler for myself but for you I would recommend watching each job and see how much walking there is, weather conditions, and guest interactions. What matters most for you. At least you would not get stuck hearing "It's a Small World" 500 times a day, lol/.

How could I be jealous let alone want a job where you sit in a tiny control tower that is exposed to the weather while listening to one of the top ten most annoying songs. I would love to work for Disney but no way on rides. The repetition would destroy my last 99 brain cells.bpgstudios wrote:Hey don't be hatin! you know your uber jealous :p: OK Zazu, new smile needed: Small World clock face! Character wrangler gets to go off stage every half hour or less, I could never be Disney CM nice like Zazu.
