Stupid payroll trick (in my favor!)
Okay, this has been going on for two weeks now. Remember that I haven't actually worked for Disney since April. Last Thursday (payday at DLR) I got a random direct deposit of $49 from "Disney worldwide services" (which is the usual disneyland payroll agent). Just today they deposited another $29 into my checking account. What's weirder is, they keep sending me the usual little paystubs in the mail, but with no hours listed, just "Miscellaneous deductions" and a negative deduction (in other words, giving me money). They're even withholding federal and state and all that from it. Is that weird, or what?
mm well don't get too comfortable with the $. They do have the right to get it back if they ever discover their error. But you probably knew that already.

I remember getting 230 some odd dollars from the high school i used to work for. I have no idea why and i never questioned it.

they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,

Okay, I've figured it out. Last week they gave you $49. This week they gave you $29. Next week you'll get $9. Then the following week they'll hit the negative numbers, and take away $9. Then they'll take $29, then $49, then you'll think, "okay, we're even." But that greedy little mouse wants MORE! MORE!!! And they'll keep on taking and taking and taking until they have everything you've ever owned! Including your soul!
And you won't be the only one! Oh no! You're just one of the first. Sooner or later they'll get us all! Then they'll replace our bodies with Pod People from outer space (just like they did with Eisner)!
It's all part of their master plan - to do terribly complicated things for no real reason, whatsoever...
...or maybe it's just an accounting error...

Oh man, do they ever...when I was going through my divorce I dropped from full time down to weekends so I could work temp jobs and earn more than I was making at the park. Anyway, I got called into the supervisors office and was notified that when I dropped status I should have been dropped into a lower pay range. Therefore, they were not only dropping my rate but they wanted me to pay them back the money that I was overpaid. Well, I just lost it because I had gone to the courthouse that morning and found out that my lawyer had screwed up big time with filing the papers so I was already in a shakey state. I started crying my eyes out, telling him about all the divorce problems and he started getting really uncomfortable and saying 'don't worry, don't worry..." Well, they never did drop my pay rate, and they never made me pay them back. I guess it helps to be a whiney girl sometimes.SRT_GB wrote:mm well don't get too comfortable with the $. When I transferred from Foods to Attractions, I had to drop from a B to CR. My attendence record was fine for being a B, but I had too many abscences for a CR. So when I dropped status, some dopey supervisor tries to bust me for attendence, even though I didn't miss a day since being a CR! :roll:BirdMom wrote:...was notified that when I dropped status I should have been dropped into a lower pay range.
