I just hope they feel as stupid as they should for being the 0.00001% of visitors in the last year to fall off the tram and get hurt.

I'm suprised this doesnt happen more often the way people act on the trams. I'm sure they will sue over this even though its their own fault 100%.

I'm really surprised that Disney does not have parking lot trams like the trams at MGM's backlot tour. Those are the ones that have the sides that swing down, and keeps people IN the tram.
Maybe it's because when they need to on load and off load during park closing, it's quicker to not have to have a CM get off and pull the sides up. *shrugs

I think that may be the next ride. "The Great Gift Shop Ride" a wonderful 15 minute tour through the history of gift shops...and trust me, this is no ordinary tour. :p:darph nader wrote:Sides that swing down to keep them in.I'm amazed Disney does'nt have a gift shop a the loading/unloading area?

Well, the sides on the backlot trams are hydraulic and require someone at each car to hold down a button as it's closing. THey're also not that fast.leftcoaster wrote:I'm really surprised that Disney does not have parking lot trams like the trams at MGM's backlot tour. Perhaps they should be more along the lines of the manual doors on the Kilimanjaro Safaris trucks, where the doors slide open and closed by means of a hand-crank at the front of the car. They defintiely open and close faster than the backlot tram doors.
The only problem with this would be that a CM would still have to walk to each car to open and close them. This might be do-able at Disneyland where the tram route only has one stop on each end, but in WDW all the trams have multiple stops in each lot. Perhaps make them spring-loaded so that with a button press they all open together, but then the CM walks the tram to close them.... But it'd still slow down the loading process.
Then, of course, there would be the SG's who are in a hurry and try to climb off the tram before the CM can open the doors to their car... Or the SG's who try to climb INTO the tram after the doors are shut.
