What is the matter with people or What should a guest do in this situation
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this, but I saw this thread on Mouseplanet and it got me wondering, what can I do if this happens to me?
I think I would be so shocked, I would just walk away and maybe that is best... but what would you guys suggest?
"my cousin and I were heading to lunch at Tomorrowland Terrace on Saturday. As you can imagine, seats were hard to find. After scouting for a few minutes I noticed a family that looked like they were leaving. I asked if they were and they said yes. I waited patiently for them to discard all of their garbage and vacate the table. Out of nowhere, a woman sped up and ELBOWED me right in the bicep area and took the table. I couldn't believe it! In all my years of going to DL I have never been physically assaulted for a table. Needless to say, I politely said to the woman "It is people like you that ruin the DL experience for others." She said that she had kids and needed the table. I went on to tell her that she didn't need to physically assault me in such a manner. She didn't apologize or anything. As a side note, she didn't have any kids with her and I didn't see any sitting at her table as I was leaving later on. I have a purple bruise on my arm - I still can't believe it."

It's exactly this sort of behavior (and attitude) that can cause me to accidentally dump an entire cup of icy Diet Coke over someone's head....

Don't worry as this probably won't happen to you. Can't plan ahead when out with SG. They'll get you every time.june1st1997 wrote:what can I do if this happens to me?

I must be a real pain in the ass because I wouldn't let that slide. I would have asked her where her children were and if she did have kids, why are they wandering about by themselves in a huge place like Disneyland? I would then "suggest" that she go and find them before I call CPS for child endangerment. Yes, I know it's a tad extreme but unless you go that route with some SG's, they never learn.

I have to agree with Zazu...although the coke would probably go all over the front of her like it was an accident and then casually say, "oh I am sorry" and just walk away. That is such rude behavior, but what what is really sad about it? It is happening more and more every day in the Parks and elsewhere. I know there are rude people in life, but the last place you expect to encounter such behavior is DL or WDW. Just plain sucks.

I guess I am a wicked witch because I would have sat my fat butt down at that table and refused to move. I then would place my size 9 double wide sneakers on a second chair and asked the SG if she thought she could remove me. For the record, yes I did do that once.

lets not forget to tell the SG about that "highly contagious rash" thats going to appear on her skin. you know the one that your doctor gave you all those creams for.
just say something like that, and walk away scratching the arm she bumped into....
