nightmare before christmas 3D (songs)
nightmare before christmas 3D (songs)
A quick search on http://www.YouTube.com will bring up many of the covers done of songs from Nightmare Before Christmas for the re-release in 3D. A lot of fans have dubbed them over the original movie footage. Kinda awesome.
I heard the Marilyn Manson version of "This Is Halloween" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU6iP0WLsU8) on Indy103 yesterday in the car and couldn't believe my ears.
I am also kinda digging Fall Out Boy's version of "What's This" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaqV6rIYhZs) and Fiona Apple's take on "Sally's Song." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDn2kURKZWI)
I wouldn't bother buying the CD, personally... so this is great IMO.

I couldnt even finish a preview of either of those craptastic "remakes". . .if thats what you can f'n call them. Im not one for Disney remixes to begin with. Listen to Under the Sea by Raven and youll understand why (Because one, she can f'n sing).
But for Marylin Manson, Fiona Apple, Panic at the disco and fall out boy to try and remake these songs is why I want to gather a bunch of people, rise together and slay them all.
As for the movie, I was a fan since it came out, still am today. I was lucky enough for a friend to invite me to an advance screening before the movie was officially released on the 20th, way before those little goth and emo bastards could get into the theater and see my movie. First off, this movie is way above those little SOBs so I love how they try to rectify why its "so much like their life" (STFU).
Seeing it in 3-D just brought a tear to my eye, it was the greatest movie I had seen in a theater in a long, long time. Too bad its only for a limited time and it wont come out on DVD in 3-D format.
Really worth the time if you get it, I just hope you dont get surrounded by those little CLBs. If you do, bring a small sun, it'll keep them a good distance away from you so you can watch it in peace.

I would never pay for these songs.. ;) I am glad youtube has this, cause I find them more interesting then good. I think it's a neat project to let bands do their own takes on songs written for such a popular movie.
Good? Not really.
Catchy? Hell yes. But that is all because of Danny Elfman, not Manson and FOB and all these other bands. LOL
Interesting? To me, at least.

From what I heard it is being released on DVD in 3-D next October. Monster House was released yesterday (in 3-D i think too) as was Spy Kids 3-D. How it looks/works I don't know. Will I spend money to buy these movies? Probably not. Except Nightmare. I'd add that one (again) to my tiny DVD collection.IndyandMarion wrote:...

Do not take this post to be a fact, since as far as I know this is NOT 100% confirmed. Except the part about my tiny DVD collection. That is true, I have like 7 DVD's.

Yeah. The Technology needed for movies like Chicken Little, *Shudders* Monster House and Nightmare to work in 3-D on home screens doesnt exsist yet.
Well, so to speak. They're working on the process right now but it is nothing like the good ol' red and blue glasses 3-D of yesteryears (Anyone remember Jaws 3-D and Elms Street?)
It'll exsist eventually. Lucas will see to that. With Star Wars 3-D coming soon, by the time those things hit DVD (or whatever medium we're using), it'll exsist in home enviroments.
Claudia, Im going to the Halloween Party tonight. I'll have my gun, I'll have my whip. I'll take a few of those little pricks out for the both of us.

Um...you're gonna take out poseurs at a halloween party? Aren't most people at a halloween party posing as something? (Eh, what do I know...until a few days ago I was the emo singer in a two-vocalist hardcore band. I think that makes me like the leader of the poseurs!) :p: Be safe and have a good time at your party Indy (maybe share a few stupid partygoer HYS's with us when you get back?)IndyandMarion wrote:Claudia, Im going to the Halloween Party tonight. By the way: just got back from NBC 3-D and it's awesome! Good use of tech!
