Warning- Enter Disney at your own risk??

Post by Marilou » Sun Oct 15, 2006 4:51 am

I don't know if this qualifies as SGT or just plain stupidity, but I wanted to share with you a post on the DIS boards....this person came on, made this as his/her 1st post then vanished. Sorry if its long or in the wrong place but what do you think????

Quoted from Dis boards
Warning - Enter Disney at Your Own Risk

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a friendly warning to anyone going to Disneyworld in Orlando.

Disney employees are notorious along with Orange County Sheriff's Officers for falsely arresting and prosecuting people on their premesis. Disney and OCSD have an understanding, that boils down to a racket. Disney officials will point out to OCSD Officers, anyone who they deem a criminal, who will then be falsely arrested and prosecuted. Since the park is full of tourists from out of town, very few, if any are able to contest or fight their charges, and so they either (a) forfeit their bail, or (b) end up paying hefty fines to close the case. It is rare for a tourist to return to fight a costly legal battle and win. And any attempt is usually futile, coming up against false testimonies given by Disney Security and OCSD officers (supposedly under oath.) Further, Disney is notorious to withold video surveillance tapes that prove innocence, as this racket generates good money for OCSD and it allows Disney to have a mutually beneficial arrangement with the local police department (who perform private details for them.)

This is not nonsense, a little research will show you that there are many such cases that show this corrupt practice is going on. In many cases, children have also been detained in similar sitiuations. Why risk the freedoms of your children & family, by going to a fake, corporate, generic place like disney. On close inspection, you will find that there are more shops and stores on site, than anything else. Sounds more like a mall, than a theme park.

Disney is a pretty poor, unimaginative choice for smart vacationers.

My only question is where is it on that board, if it hasn't been deleted yet?

It's not the turnstiles you have to worry about passing though -- it's the Casting Center!

As far as computers go.....I should be on the "short bus" I don't know how to post a link to the thread. It is still there and if anyone wants to pm me, I'd be happy to send the link in an email. I must admit, the responses the OP got were fairly amusing.

Here you go, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php ... er%2C+risk

We get a lot of posts like this one on the DIS and many other Disney sites. Don't use this transportation company or whatever...... usually people nail that poster to the wall and the person never comes back....

Now, back to my planning for my trip to WDW in 3 days!

That says everything. I seen it on other boards where the first post is something like this. It is just a bunch of troll dung.

I gotta say. stuff like this is where i get my cheap laughs for the day. I can almost guarentee to look on one of the many disney boards on the web at any given time and just kinda laugh at some of the information thrown there. Most of this crap is unresearched, unthought out, and for the most part --just plain funny. Some of my favorite posts are ones that usually state things like "I dont know anything about the subject at hand, but good post!" Gotta love them...Stupid Guest Forum Posters (SGFP).

By the way, this site is legitimetly funny and always extremely informative and full of good laughs and stories. Does anyone else scower the disney boards for cheap laughs like me?

Mice Chat is my favorite for comic relief. Some of those people get so hyped over the littlest thing that we the normal SGs as well as CMs would think nothing of.

OMG the ride broke, here is video, pictures and a 9000 word essay on what happened. Wow like the ride is dfferent with the lights on. Full blow by blow analysis as to why a ride may have gone down, is it safe to ride, any deaths on the ride and on and on and on.

I have been going to parks including the pike since I was a toddler and had a picture of me before I was two years old with my head stuck in a bench at the Pike. YAWN like so boring and how can you get a thrill from seeing a ride with the lights on especially with all the media stuff on the internet and inch by inch detail stuff on rides.

It's just someone spamming/trolling Disney message boards. I googled part of that post, and it shows up on at least 5 other message boards. Pay it no mind.
