Night of Joy
Boy, I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with Night of Joy. Just being in the park with them for two hours today was enough. Too much energy used screaming off of TTA to people on the ground.

Re: Night of Joy
september 1998, my worst memory after rain related was Joy Night. Them damned fools were running through parking lots like they owned it. I slammed the brakes to avoid one and yelled something about being a stupid Bambi. Her boyfriend hit my rental car with his fist and left a nice dent. The car had New York license plates and under 5,000 miles.
I wonder what happened in the parks if they were that rude and careless in parking lots. Normally you do not see that kind of wild behavior in parking lots.

Re: Night of Joy
I can remember when they had a Christian-themed private party during New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. There were kids trying to get on rides in Camp Snoopy that they weren't qualified to ride on, and they even tried bribery -- like I'm gonna make an exception for a lousy dollar! I told some kids that if they were Christian, why weren't they obeying the rules? One kid said, "We're atheists!" I countered with, "If you're an atheist, what are you doing in a Christian private party?" I couldn't hear his reply due to background noise. I can remember when Christian kids were better Christians than their parents, or at least you could spot them because they were squeaky clean. No more. Sad.

Not to get into a flame war, but alot of people call themselves Christians when they really are not. People like them give us a bad name.

Re: Night of Joy
Speaking of bribery, last night at Night of Oy i got to confsicate 3 flik cards from these kids that *obviously* stole them since we don;t give out 3 fliks at a time, and they were wearing them proudly. When I told them they needed to give them to be, because they were the protery of the Walt Disney Company, they asked to buy them for $2. Nuh-uh, not for sale buddy. Now hand them over before I get security to explain to you the punishment for stealing from our parks.
I heard from someone in merch that all the little objects on shelves at fantasy faire had to be removed before the 2nd NoJ started because they stole too much the first night.

Re: Night of Joy
I know my church uses Night of Joy as an outreach opportunity and often church members will pay ("scholarship") for inner city kids to attend who normally wouldn't be able to afford it.

My church has done youth outreach and will take kids who are not saved to events and youth meetings. In all likelyhood a lot bad stuff is because of unsaved families who do not know how to act civil like but are guests of the Christians who hope to get those heathens and their brats into a good moral group of people.

Re: Night of Joy
All I remember from my encounter with Night of Joy was how people did not listen to a single thing that you asked them to do. Like move all the way down a row, really how hard is that. Or how about rows one and two and they take all four. But what really put the icing on the cake for me was when you would ask how many they had in their party they would reply all of us. I really wanted to say no S*** but sadly could not. Night of Joy is ten times worse than Grad night. And that is saying quite a lot.

Me: How many in your party?
Guest: All of us.
Me: There are 3 thousand people in this line. You can ride with up to 30. How many in your party?
