Stupid Emails

Post by Leanne_Rene » Sat Jun 03, 2006 6:51 pm

Just an example of one of the many many silly emails we get

I work in the Online Communications community at DRC. We see a lot of really dumb requests. One of the most memorable ones is one that a gentleman emailed us explaining that he had a friend who lives in Nigeria and wanted to bring his friend to WDW. "Okay fine you do that" Then the guy says, "my friend doesn't have a passport. Can you provide a passport or travel visa for him?" I about fell out of my chair from laughing. Of course I can't email this ding a ling back and tell him just how stupid he really is, I just told him that WDW does not provide international guests with passports or travel visas and his friend would have to contact his local government to obtain the proper documentation to trave to the US.

just the fact that it's from Nigeria means it was probably a scam attempt. My fiance got $800+ stolen through a Nigerian money scam. It's funny that they'd do something as official as send a request to the Reservation Center though.

And, here's another one that is very very frequently asked:

Which parks can we visit with the park hopper option?

Duh......if you need to ask that question, you're too stupid to go through the gates...sheesh

LOL! :D: My friend Jaques got that question in ticketing (and remember we only have TWO parks! GUESS which parks are open to the park hoppers...?) and couldnt help himself (this was a situation where the guest had been asking one seriously uninformed question after another ad nauseam...) but answred: "The three-day park hopper ticket will grant you access to Planet Hollywood and The Disney Parking Lot as well as the stroll area around lake Disney."
The guest, happy with this, bought his ticket and left. Go figure...
Sometimes I think we only need to move our mouths and make noises and some guests will be happy.
