At least you never had to wear the oooooooolllllllld mdse. costume for Tomorrowland...polyester pants with crotches cut down to the knee that didn't fit anyone...that was in the days of the old Monsanto ride...icky!

Hmmmm...my old Fantasyland costumes reminded me of Heidi, although for some reason when I was in attractions there, some kid had me mistaken for Snow White - go figure - the costume isn't even close. That ever so attractive puke green and gold that they used for both mdse. and foods costumes could go far away as far as I was concerned...

I like the old Tiki room mumus in summer. They were great when it was hot - sleeveless and comfy. The really old pirates costumes were cute too - they were cut lower in the bosom than the current ones. If you were cute and single, you'd get a smaller vest on purpose to show your assets, if ya know what I mean...lol. Kind of like some of those girls you see at the Renaissance faires. The Matterhorn pants didn't look good on anyone unless they were a size 6 or smaller - thank goodness I was a 6 when I was there! Otherwise they showed every lump and bump - even on the guys. There was one guy over there that used to get teased about his barometric testacles in those pants (years ago...lol)

And why oh why would the stupid gangbangers refer to every girl in a Mansion dress as "Elvira?" Do those green polyester straightjackets have anything to do with the mistress of the dark? I don't think so...you're covered from your chin to your ankles...idiots!!!

I have to say that when I worked at Disneyland the Inn Between costume was the ugliest thing I had ever worn. It was a lavender shirt with forest green trim and black symbols on it. A forest green half apron and forest green pants to match. So much green... The costume I wear now is much better. A royal blue button shirt and black pants with a black belt. Simple and comfortable. Of course I did work in Camp Snoopy at one point. I looked like a demented camp counselor. Oh boy. I think the companies strive to put us in such costumes so that even a blind person could see us. (No offense to the blind there) No one seems to care about proper theming anymore. What a shame.

Having just concluded a good laugh about Polar referring to mahaihai as 'she,' I cannot think about anything to say about any of my normal costumes (ME, Main Street) that hasn't already been said, so I'll go with my emergency backup. Everytime I see wear the Fantasmic! shirt, I can't help but think of Charlie Brown.

Tiki room costume rocked as far as hipness and comfort in the summer!
:pbjtime:

Anyone remember the old videopolis costume? That was an ugly number, the Captain Eo costume was ultra hip too.

I had a friend who is in custodial and has worked there for at least 20 years. We shared a house together for a while and it had a pool. When we all moved into the house for the first time, the first thing we did was fill up the pool and start the barbecue. Our friend takes off his shirt and lo and behold there is a tanline from the pocket on his custodial shirt!!!! The pocket being made of a little extra material blocked the sun better than the rest of the flimsy costume, he also had little button tanlines to along the front of his chest!!! According to him, he had had that tan for 15 years or so.

Oh man did we harrass him about that.

I shall never wear pinstripes again.

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"

"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

QUICK! Slap that on a shirt and sell it as the summer '03 fantasmic shirt!

Do people still do that? I thought I heard there was a crack down on it.

That's awesome :)

I wish I could find somewhere to print up shirts with this kind of thing. That one could probably be sneaked through cafepress, but my College Program Survivor logo probably would get noticed ;)

Oh my gosh - the one with the Easter Egg colors that was supposed to look like an old time usher's outfit? How could anyone forget that thing...ugh...we looked like we all belonged inside one of the dark rides!!!!

Naw - the all-time goofball outfit was the old yellow things at Coke Terrace where the girls had to wear the stupid Coca Cola hats that looked like bottle caps. Thank goodness I didn't have to work there - yellow is not my color!!! [/quote]
