Wish Me Luck!
On April 10 I'm taking the test for the Orange County Sheriff's crime lab. If I pass the test, I'll go through a week-long series of interviews, and if selected, will become a criminalist with Orange County. Wish me luck! Hopefully soon, my status on this board will soon change from "Current" to "Former."

Wow, how very cool!! You'll be working in OC Crime Lab under Rodriquez. He's a good guy. I made it to the final interview next Monday! If I pass that, they start the background investigation, which takes a couple of months. They then decide who to hire from the pool of those who pass the investigation, so it will still be a couple of months before I know for sure if I have the job.

Had the final interview today. I'll find out in a week or so how I did. Hard to say how it went, since it was pretty much just a technical interview where they asked me a whole bunch of questions about procedure and such. Can't really tell if I hit all the points they were looking for.
