Okay the following "memo" was circulated in 1997 throughout WDW Resort, it had everyone momentarily in shock when they read this before they realized it was a joke...hope you will enjoy. It is retyped verbatum as it was sent out..Ive held on to it for years.

Subject: TWDC Fantasy Funerals

The Walt Disney World Company is proud to announce the creation of it's newest department, Fantasy Funerals. This marks an entry into a new line of business and compliments the Fairytale Weddings Department.

Construction on the Disney Funeral Reception Hall and Crematorium will begin in the fourth quarter of 1997 and the first funerals will begin in mid-1998. Services include package prices for family and friends including airfare, hotel, and tickets to the attractions. The hall will accomodate wakes of up to 600 mourners.

For Guests whishing to become a "permanent" part of the Disney Magic there are several package options available.

After cremation guests may choose to be buried under a marker on the "Walk Around the World" walking path that circles the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Our "Pixie-Dust" program will involve Tinker Bell scattering Guest's ashes over the Magic Kingdom durin the nightly fireworks display. Or they may choose to have their ashes placed in a fireworks shell to be exploded during Illuminations at Epcot.

For nautical fans Guest's ashes can be scattered into either the Seven Seas Lagoon or EPCOT's lagoon during a special ceremony aboard the "Friendship" boats.

Thing is, this could be a major profit center. I know a number of fans who have arranged to have their ashes scattered on property. Disney is missing a revenue stream!

I could seriously see some of the people I know wanting to do this. Scary! But at the same time it wouldn't surprise me if Disney tried to tap into the funeral buisness. We do almost everything else. :)

That's right, kids, for a nominal fee, you can be a part of Chapman University for all time.

.... and I have to walk by the remains of rich Orange County snobs every time I want to get to class.

This doesn't suprise me. My mom is kind of strange like that. She went to Pepperdine University. She loved it there. That's where she met my dad and her best friend and all that good stuff. She told us she wants part of her ashes scattered there. If that's what she wants, I guess we'll do it.

First of all, this could be a good idea for all those Disney Obsessed Fans who eat, sleep, breath, work Disney.

Thats too weird. First they get you when your alive. Then after you,ve passed on
