Back when I was still fairly new to attractions, I got "stuck" on Splash G.C. (yes, there was a time when G.C. and the attraction itself had separate crews and rotations). The ride had just opened and was still experiencing technical problems mulitple times on a daily basis.
On this particular day in early December there wasn't a lot open that morning. The ride had been up for about two minutes when it shut itself down, and it was usually 45-55 minutes to reset everything to get it up and running. Matterhorn, Space and World were all down for rehab. Pirates was delayed and so were Subs. There were camera crews on both Jungle and the Mansion doing shots for the park's 35th anniversary television special. Within a few minutes of Splash going 101, a call came out over the radio that the Monorail would have also be delayed opening.
This big nasty bald biker looking kind of guy came up to me and wanted to know why there weren't any logs coming out of the last big drop and I had to explain to him that we were down. Of course, he'd already passed by all the other closed attractions and seen the signs, etc so biker dude wasn't a happy camper. I'm about 5'5" and was maybe 115 lbs. at the time and this guy had to be about 6'4" and looked to be about 250 or so and he literally got in my face shouting "everything I came here to see is closed today!!! What are you going to do about it?!" In the meantime, the G.C. lead, a really nice guy of average height and build took one look at biker dude and started backing up slowly out of the area (gee, thanks for your support). I gathered my wits about me and gave biker dude an answer that made him step back, smile and say "oh - ok!" in a really pleasant tone of voice, then he left us be.
G.C. lead came over and asked me "what did you tell him? I thought he was going to tear you up in a minute." My reply? "If you go over to City Hall on Main Street and tell them what you just told me, they'll give you free tickets to come back some other time. Just don't tell them that I told you that..." Of course, the operative words were "free tickets." Seemed to work like a charm in those days.

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"
"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."
"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."
