So how bad is the staffing at DLR???
As most of you all know, I left Disneyland on not the best of terms. Of course I have not gone back to check my rehire status. But being that it is almost 4 years later, what are the chances of me getting hired on at one of the hotels over there? I keep hearing how bad the situation is and damn if they rehire me then anyone could get rehired. I will just have to make sure that I don't stab another guest with a serving spoon. Wish me luck.

If Disneyland doesn't want you, WDW does!LittleDollClaudia wrote:As most of you all know, I left Disneyland on not the best of terms. Of course I have not gone back to check my rehire status. Our "Spring" Job Fair has now been held seven times here in Orlando, twice in San Juan, once in Houston, and once at the Florida State Penitentiary. (Yes, boys and girls, WDW employs convicted felons on a "case-by-case basis".)
Your salary will be lower here, but so are housing costs and gas prices.
The stupidity -- guest and company -- is exactly the same.

DLR is bad too. We've held at least 2 job fairs in the last 6 weeks. We need people badly.

These are the rafts TO the island. Not AROUND, not OVER, not UNDER and not THROUGH. Thank you for riding T. Saywer's shuttle service please visit again.

I've been hearing that nobody has been showing up to these job fairs.Stduck wrote:DLR is bad too. We've held at least 2 job fairs in the last 6 weeks. We need people badly.
I was told that these job fairs were the answer to the inevitable large-scale terminations that happened as a result of Presenteeism, and it's backfired.

Let me know if you need help finding a place. Always lots of "roommate wanted" ads around here. :turtlepwr

Okay, I'm sold! Sorry boys, I'm moving to Florida. At least when I retire, I won't have far to go. Now I just have to convince my fiancee... :D:

Well, moving to Florida is just a *little* more complicated than that. For one thing, you have to have your left turn signal wired permanently on....LittleDollClaudia wrote:I'm moving to Florida. At least when I retire, I won't have far to go.

My first post! hehe Well I'm starting to see things from a different perspective after reading some of these forums, compared to the Disboards and wdwmagic. But anyway, yes I would work at Disney in a heartbeat if I thought I could make more than $7 an hour or whatever. Yes, and that stupid law about having to signal when you change lanes now. They're just going to signal while cutting you off now, instead of just cutting you off.

Re: So how bad is the staffing at DLR???
Disboards ... way too much sugar coated cluelessness over there. "What is the weather going to be like on April 17, 2008?" (those are the type of people that we usually talk about over here). On the other hand, there is SOME quality information over there, although you have to dig pretty far to get to it.freediverdude wrote:My first post! hehe Well I'm starting to see things from a different perspective after reading some of these forums, compared to the Disboards and wdwmagic.
Not as familiar with wdwmagic ...
