Party Parking Woes

Post by CBeilby » Tue Dec 06, 2005 3:34 am

Ok, was it just me, or did Parking's upper management manage to completely screw things up tonight? I don't recall hearing anything at all about the only entrance for parking being the Disneyland Drive entrance to Mickey and Friends? Admittedly, I've been a gorram pincushion for much of the last week (gotta love diabetes sometimes  ) and hadn't been in a position to see much if any relevant information. But still, when there's a line on Walnut halfway back to Magic Way JUST TO TURN RIGHT ONTO BALL ROAD, you know there's something wrong...

I took Katella to Disneyland Dr and did the u-turn thing (Remembered last year's experience with the Magic Way's Enterence Closed). The intersection of Ball and DL Dr was being monitored by APD and the signal was a blinking red. Made things look REALLY nasty with all the day guests leaving.

So what does this mean for me tonight? Lol. You're freaking me out. Do I need to leave my house earlier?

Yep, parking was left to upper management....as usual. Why does this not surprise us? Parking freaks me out every year too Lost. There is no easy method. Trust me!! No gray hairs for you this time :D: Done this since 99
Am leaving 2 hrs. early after my Co. D. run. See you in a line someplace ]

The thing that surprised me was that the flyover was open to southbound traffic (into the structure). I know they're capable of running the flyover with one lane in each direction instead of two lanes north or southbound - I saw it today. That would have helped the outbound traffic, not to mention ease the bottleneck I had to go through.

And did anyone else who got there before 8:00 on Monday get annoyed at the guests' horn symphony? They wouldn't stop blowing their horns! Kinda like those clowns who feel they have to blow their horn in a tunnel just to hear the echo.
