BLACK SUNDAY 50 years later

Post by murf » Mon Jul 11, 2005 8:20 am

So do you think we are headed for another BLACK SUNDAY ?
Sure there will be water fountains, ice and the asphault is set but think about it. All of the hotels (not just the resort hotels) are sold out, we will be hitting a major heat wave starting on Friday and all the AP's are lining up with baited breath in anticipation.

at least it'll be over with by the 19th!

I'm just glad I'll be safely on the rivers and away from the madding crowds on the 17th. Yay Mark Twain!

I'm just happy that I'm at Small World and I won't have to work the parade. I'm very sorry for anyone who does have to work the parade, almost everyone in the park is going to want to see the parade and it'll be physically impossible even with two parades running, and I doubt that they'll suddenly have more parades.

That will be me! Actually I'm excited. For those of you on Fantasmic! GOOD LUCK. It will be just as bad for you guys too. I hope to be in the hub on that day, then I don't have to worry about maintaining a walkway just people out of planters.

i'm on the routes... no parade for me.

i'm kind of sad about this though, i enjoy crowded parades.

i find them more challenging.

I'll be safely at DLH, hopefully in the stockroom my whole shift.

Good luck to you all!

I am sure it will be busy on both sides of the resort. AS soon as DL gets over capcity then goes to DCA. I have an opening tower shift, so it should be intresting.

It's a nice afternoon/evening jungle shift for me! YAY! No one's at jungle during the parades/fireworks/fantasmic anyway. Talk about dodging a bullet there.

Sunday will def be BLACK, blue, bruised & slammed. I'll be in Fantasy Land for 10 hrs. & then do a quick change for Emporium until the last 50th tid bit is purchased & the last straggler guest slowly departs :( Don't think Black Sunday 2005 will be over July 19th, not when my schedule reads 68 hrs. & I know more will be added. Pay check will be healthy but will I? GOOD WISHES TO ALL CMs working Sunday. :) We need all the Golden positives & strengths we can find.
