I'm new here sorta

Post by practicallyperfect » Tue Apr 12, 2005 1:41 am

Hi folks!
I'm a new CM as well as new to these boards...sorta I say sorta because I was regisitered under the name perfectlyperfect, but since I was tired when I did that it was a typo and I meant to say Practically Perfect...a quote from my favorite Disney movie Mary Poppins!
Anyway although I am a newbie I feel I know a lot of what to expect as I have worked with the public a lot being a restaurant server and hostess, as well as working in a catering business. So I don't think a lot of stupidity can surprise me! But I could be wrong.
It's nice to know I have a place to vent ahead of time though!

I am yet another "FNG" (don't know what that means? Ask your father), just hired about a month ago, shot through paperwork and orientation, and I am set up to work the Steam Trains as my on-the-job training this weekend.

Oh boy.

I am one of those guys who decided to throw away their social lives and dedicate every waking hour to making money on The Mouse. I hope to realize my dream of someday being a Jungle Cruise skipper, but I don't mind being Train Man.

No, when I was hired, I was merely informed that I would be in the Adventureland/Frontierland area. They did not mention that this area also covers MAIN STREET *sigh*. I DID specifically write down "ADVENTURELAND, JUNGLE CRUISE" under my area after writing down "attractions" It's not so bad. I didn't really want to work Indy.

But once I settle down a little and learn a few of the ropes, I am going to be pushing as hard as I can to work as a Jungle Cruise skipper at least ONCE before I decide to leave for good. I just gotta complete one dream in my life, y'know?
