Needing advice...

Post by GMC » Thu Feb 24, 2005 4:12 am

ok so i usually have an answer to just about any problem, and rarely is it some load i just pulled outta my rectum(good word, i'll keep it.)

anyway, for anyone who's been around for a while, how did any of you sope with what seemed like really bad decisions on behalf of management, the two leads that i consider best just had their status pulled, rather one dropped w/o knowing he was being pulled, and the other was just pulled, for trust issues. These are the two leads that i trusted most, for me the trust issues are with management, i know they probably read this, or have some lackey read it for them, but whatever, This is something i see as just another workplace question, that i could be asking about the second job i don't have.

Anywho, the entire temple is different now, morale is low, and i'd love to rise to the occasion, and become a lead myself, and do my best to make things better, however i don't like managment's stance of "we don't owe them anything."

i'm sure some of you who've been around for some time have had similar, what did you do for your morale, and the morale of those around you? inside or out of disney, indy was already dreary, now it's reaching flat out dismal.

I don't really have good advice in regards to this situation. I've dealt with it a lot myself and I've just taken the stance of, I'm doing my job and I don't worry about anything else anymore. It's a crappy stance, but I won't be here for ever. The only reason I still work for Disney are the benefits otherwise I would've been fed up and quit. Now I just gotta finish school so I can get a job with benefits and better pay (and I'm going into teaching, so it won't be much better pay)

Oh yeah, btw you're likely to get this in lots of jobs, quit my last one because of management.

my first job was hell, one manager for six stores, the guy worked 10ish to 10ish every day, and still managed to have a family, and have a happy wife, and kid. I have this annoying independent streak in me because on a shift of three, depending who else was working, i was typically calling shots, handeling guests, training, and doing my job as just a regualr employee. I've almost adapted that same attitude. I gotta sleep now, b/c i falling asleep typing having small dreams, and almost writing them.
