Stroller Rant:
I know that strollers can be annoying, and it's been a long time since my kids were in strollers but yesterday my daughter and I went to the mall in San Diego. I was in charge of pushing my grandchild in the stroller. I could not believe how RUDE people are when they see you have a stroller! And I was trying very hard not to run anyone over. Since you can't take a stroller on an escalator or stairs, you have to use the elevator. But when the door opened, about 6 able bodied people pushed in front of me to get in the elevator! I said I'd wait for the next one but a nice man made room for me.
Then on the way out of Nordstroms a woman rushed in front of me, I thought she was going to hold the door open for me and the stroller, but she just let it slam! It is really hard to hold open a door when you've got a stroller. My daughter said people are rude all the time when she has the stroller.
SO STOP IT!

WOW!! Which mall? DIL goes to several and the youngest Grandkid still needs a stroller. Although she has never said anything about problems like that!

Ms. Matterhorn,
I'm sorry that you took this thread to mean all those who use strollers are evil. I was just venting to say that I was tired of people swearing at me because I am trying to follow fire codes. I am never intentionally mean to anyone who has a stroller, I do get angry when people think it is their God-given right to take it anywhere they want. I ALWAYS hold doors open and allow those who can't use the stairs use the elevator. I am sorry people have been rude to you and I just want to let you know that isn't what I intended in this thread.

One of the things to keep in mind here, it's impossible to make generalizations. It's like the Brazilian family I had on one of my last nights on the bus. They didn't know what the heck I was saying, but they laughed along and at the end of the trip got everyone chanting my name. I think it's safe to say that most of us here don't generalize, and those that do fall prey to the SG mentality when they do.
Please, don't take a thread to mean more than it does. *EVERYTHING* has an opposite point of view and that POV has its own set of facts.

No offense meant, CMGuy. In my days at DLR, I myself have been on the receiving end of many a stroller terrorist. I just chose this thread to vent my frustration. BTW, it was Fashion Valley in San Diego.

10% of the population of the United States is addicted to smoking methamphetamines. That works out to every 10th person through Main Gate.
Was it late in the day? It could be they were late for a dose of self medication.

25% of people are mentally ill - that's one of every four. Look around at three of your friends. If they seem o.k. then it's you.
